i have payday loan representative calling me at work what can i do

Welcome to the Community :D You aren't alone, many of us have fallen prey to pay day loans.

If you can tell us

Are these internet or store front loans

What state are you in

What are the Company names

How much have you borrowed and paid back, and are they in default

This info will help us guide you in the right direction..Good Luck..Karen

Tell them right off that you are not permitted to take calls at work and follow it up with a certifed letter. If you tell us who the loans are with, how much you borrowed from each one, how much you have paid each one so far including extenions, whether they are internet or storefront and the state you live in, we will be able to help you better.
If they continue to call you at work file a complaint with the FTC.

I would take their call one time (if possible)but I would make sure they send you something to validate the debt. If they dont then until they do I wouldnt worry about it. If you have records (bankstatements) that you can look over to see how much you have paid back you can go from there. Then send in what you can. If they call again ( I'm sure they will try) until you send a Cease and Desist letter CERTIFIED MAIL-RETURNED RECEIPT). I've learned from being on this forum that if a company cant supply you with an ACCURATE validation letter then they can wait. Am I wrong?

If you cant take the phone call if they call you at work and you have a message from a PDL company- and they answer the phone " hello" and not the name of the company then it more than likely is NOT a true CA.

That's just my 2 cents worth :D
