Freaking awesome bank!!

Hi everyone. The saga continues with my friend and her checkngo installment loan. She has tried to make arrangements with them but they will not budge. She did report them to the state dept. of consumer affairs and the case has been assigned to a worker. But, a piece of good news is that she just contacted her bank to see if she can block the draft. They were completely cool and said that she could sign something that will block the draft forever!!! Thank goodness. At least she doesn't have to worry about nsf fees, etc. Technically, I think that cng shouldn't charge her fees either, as the draft will be returned as blocked, not as nsf!!! (BUT, we all know that probably won't happen.) :-)

I had a few PDL drafts, coming out of my account, too. It was just getting 'too much'. So, I did the same thing...spoke with my bank and explained the situation. They were SOOOOO good about working with me. Usually banks WILL work with 'situations' like this. hey, Eleroo..glad to hear things are working out for you.

I will definitely warn her about the corporate branch. From what she told me the bank is going to block it permanently and will only let it through with her written permission. Maybe a good idea would be to put the stop in place and then make sure that around the time that the debits should take place that there is not enough money in the account to cover the debit. I'm sure that any nsf fees that her bank charges can be reimbursed with her copy of the stop. Do you all think that would work?
