Hello forum, Who is cash advance net?

I got a lovely letter from a company ACA Recovery regarding a loan with Cash Advance Net.
Who is this? and the letter states that they follow fdcpa requirements 807 (11) and 809. This is going
to be funny because all the internet payday loans
that I have are not registered in the State of Florida. How does an illegal payday loan send customers to a collection /recovery company. The funnest part of this letter is printed from a word document, no company letter head. Oh well.
This is a professional collection agency with no fax number no 800 number. You gots to call a 201 area code and spend more money. :)

Be careful while dealing with the collection agency. They must produce the debt validation to you according to the federal laws. And, check their licensing info with the Dept of Corp in your state. In most cases, the unlicensed pdl companies hire a legit collection agency to recover the balance. It is like firing from someone's shoulder that is more legal.

Queen! :D WTF?? Okay, your pdl is not licensed in the state of Florida and also this "collection agency" is not licensed in the state of Florida. At least nothing showed up when I check the licensee database for your state. Nothing for either one. What is the telephone number they want you to call? Post that and I'll see if I can do a search on it. Please............ Nice to hear from you, queen!

The phone number listed is 201-670-8851. Do you know Cannr who is cash advance net? I trying to remember
who they are and when I called the SA office, all the internet pay day loans where not listed in the my
state. So the dude told me exact what you had said and the forum, there are no rollover fees allowed
so i need to subtract the amount from the principal
and whatever is my balance after that I should pay and
if they owe me, I should get a refund. If and when
the company in which I am requesting is not agreeing
to my proposal then report them to them and they would do the rest. I am still waiting on 2 request
and the 21 day period would be next friday.

Queen - I did a search on the phone number you posted. This company is listed on ripoffreport.com. Apparently an illegal collection agency (surprise!).
I also did a search on that pdl name. The only thing that came up was a website for them. Apparently they are a pdl with a website. It's the name of the pdl with .com after it. I didn't "cruise the site" for fear of getting junk from them! Did you have a pdl with that name? Not that it matters. Both the pdl and the recovery company are illegal. They are not licensed in your state at all, and I really doubt they are licensed anywhere. From what I read on the rip off report, they were demanding money and then when questioned, hung up on people. Big red flag that they are illegal!

When I put in Cash Advance Net in BBB, this is what came up. It's under "loans" and the BBB has a little quote about pay day loans not being good (really?). And then under licensing, it says not licensed or something to that effect. I'm going to get brave and search their webite to see what kind of information I can get and see if this is indeed them. I'm on a mission now!

Okay. I went to cashadvancenet.com. Here's something interesting. Maybe it's not them? I'm confused now. You know how these pdl's are! But I'm copying it on here anyway.

Do you issue loans in all 50 states?

NO. Currently we DO NOT make loans in in the following states:

California
Colorado
Delaware
Florida
Georgia
Idaho
Indiana
Kansas
Massachusetts
New Hampshire
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Pennsylvania
Texas
Washington
West Virginia

How are you suppose to know which place they are, cashadvance net. I have never heard of them, what does your bank statement say on the transactions that you received from them. I know on my bank statements it usually has a telephone number you can call them on. I would be really leary about this.

I have never heard of a collection agency not having a toll-free number. Obviously they feel that you can afford to call them.

When you do your researching you really do it! My bank account is closed and looking bank on statements I have nothing from a comany by the name of cash advance net. So, this is a big surprise and of course the amount owned is unusal to. Any hoot, lets have some fun and give them a call. But, I will call them tomorrow from my cell because its free and see
what battle arises. I havent heard back from 4 companies as yet when I requested the PIF. Very interesting, no one is saying nothing. UH, I guess they know they are doing wrong.

queen, sometimes the pdl's will "disappear" for awhile. Then pop up and suprise the crap out of you! Sometimes they won't communicate with you at all, but just keep on debiting (or trying) your account. Morons. Yeah, give these people a call. I'm really curious now. If they are going by a different name, they should tell you what name. However, try this approach, queen. When you speak to them, ask them the name and license number of the company they are operating under. Let's see if they hang up on you! :D

queen, I'm cracking up! She hung up on you! How in the world did we know that was coming? LOL! :lol: As soon as they hear "what is your license number", they hang up! HELLO! LOL! Do you want me to check Florida to see if they're licensed there (I can bet $100 they're not). Because right on the BBB site is said this company is not licensed. But, if you want me to, I can check.....

Tell them they (this collection attorney) need to send you a letter of collection within 5 days of their first initial contact with you, via the mail with the following information:
Quote:
How much money you reportedly owe;
The name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;
That unless you, within thirty days after receipt of the notice, dispute the validity of the debt or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed valid by the debt collector;
That if you dispute the debt in full or in part within that thirty day period, the debt collector will obtain verification of the debt and mail it to the consumer; and
That upon your written request within the thirty day period, the debt collector will provide you with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor.

This is a federal law (FDCPA) and if they refuse and continue to call threaten to file a complaint against them with the FTC for non compliance of a federal law, then follow through if it continues.
