I just googled the number and it is from a company called Phoenix debt management. They supposedly specialize in payday loan collections. They also advertise to adhere to the fdcpa guidelines. It doesn't sound like they are if they are leaving you threatening messages. Have you tried to call them back?

Call them back and them send them a dv letter and find out what they are talking about. Did you take out any PDL's? What are there messages saying?

PDM (Phoenix debt management) just took 2 payments out of my checking account. They did not receive permission from me. And I know I did not owe that much money as they claim. I just sent them a letter but do you think they will redeposit my money? Or should I take legal actions now?

meld - I would go on the offensive. It'll probably take a while to get the money back, but it's worth the ask. Talk to your bank and see if you can reject any future debits from them. You need to protect your money so you can live. Get in contact with the company and complain about the large withdrawl.

Did you happen to take an internet PDL? For what reason is this company debiting your account? And if it is a iPDL, have you determined you financial rights in this transaction, ie - are iPDLs legal in your state? What is the interest and rollover limits?

They say they are collecting on behalf of Cash Supply. I did get into the payday loan mess but that was 2 years ago and this company came out of the blue. I know I paid off all these companies already. I thought I was successful in getting rid of these companies (by paying off my loans). I have spoken to PDM and that's how I know who they are collecting for. They said I need to prove I don't owe $280 to Cash Supply, not the other way around. I faxed them a debt validation letter and today I'm sending certified mail. In my letter I'm requesting them to redosit my money back. I am so furious at these people. They said in the original contract I signed it says practically anyone can withdraw cash from my account in effort to collect this debt. This is a debt that is coming from nowhere.

Sounds like total BS. I would definitely protect your bank account and stop these leeches from getting any more money until you get their validation letter.

I have requested via tele, email, fax, mail, and still will not send me the Paid in full letter since the account was Paid in full. The following is a complaint I just submitted to the FTC regarding this company. People you need to do the same, this is a great way to get these people out of business:

She demanded that I had to immediately need to pay the total amount due to LB Marketing ???????? I am represented by debt consolidation company ???????? Langhorne Debt, violation of FDCA Sec.806 (6)) which they are well aware of and have worked with them in the past.. She was very belligerent, rude and nasty screaming at me that they (LB Marketing) had already taken me to court (violation of FDCA sec 807 (11) and (13) I NEVER received any notification). I gave them Langhorne????????s name and telephone number, within 5 minutes I was again called at work ???????? this time she again was screaming at me that if I didn????????t arrange with her NOW to repay the amount due, that they would then immediately garnish my wages for the entire amount of $480 ( violation of FDCA sec. 807 (4). However, if I settled right now with her, she would drop the price to $360.
