Hi, and welcome to the site. Alot of people have dealt with cash call on this site. Please list what state you are from. Please do not list any persoanl infomation like names and numbers, just how much the debt is and if it is in default. Someone with more knowledge on the subject will be here shortly.

Cashcall is that the one that advertises on television? I think I just a read a post on them that they are backed by a bank and unforutnately if that is the case I don't know how much help they can provide. Good luck, someone will be along shortly to answer in greater detail.

Laura -

Welcome to the site! :-)

I'm sorry to hear that you're involved with CashCall.

They are a legal lending entity, backed by a bank, so they cannot be dealt with like a payday lender - because they aren't one. The interest rates they charge are outrageous (sometimes like 99% interest), but because they are backed by a bank, they get away with it - until the government chooses to stop them, which they haven't so far.

There are reports on every single consumer protection website about this company - and how bad they are to deal with.

They can and will take you to court if you default, but they will wait a few months, to make your balance baloon up, so they can get more money from you, because when they take you to court, the judgement will set the interest rate back to your state-allowed interest rate, rather than their inflated rate, and they know it.

As far as a debt consolidation or settlement company working with them, I don't know if they will or not - your best bet is to start calling and asking - check out the companies on our Ranking Chart and see if there's one in your area that you can call on Monday.

Please post any more questions you may have.
