An account that I did not open

I just got my credit report from Experian. It shows an account number 440423781xxx that is open with you. I don't think I ever opened an account with you. Please close it immediately. This is not a question. This is a letter of instruction to close that account immediately. I tried calling your phone number and no one answers. REgards, Cheryl Eichstaedt

Cheryl, good luck getting that account closed. It would help if you contacted the creditor...here's a hint: it's not us. We are but a public forum where members and guests alike discuss credit, debt, collections, payday loans, etc...

Now, if you were to tell us who the account was with, perhaps someone might have better contact info to share with you.
