too many paydayloans

i too have too many payday loans from the internet and i can't pay anything else. my credit is shot so i can't get any loans and i reside in pennsylvania...please help!

darkeyes -

Payday loans are prohibited in PA...however, lenders can lend into PA if they are licensed in their own home state - so the law is a little tricky.

You will find the Payday loan laws for Pennsylvania here (just select your state),

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/explain-pdls-laws.html

Please post the following info, and we can offer you some advice on how to get out of this endless cycle:

-Names of all payday lenders you are dealing with
-How much you borrowed from each one (principal only, no fees)
-How much you have repaid so far on each one

With that info, we can offer you some solid advice on how to get control of your money again.

Hi Darkeyes. Welcome! I know how you are feeling. I had too many internet pdls, as well, and have very poor credit, so loans were out of the question for me. The thing that made me feel more in control was to close my checking account to stop the debits, and then open another one. I know that you have to be careful when doing that because of bad checks, etc. But, luckily I live in a state that criminal prosecution is illegal when it comes to payday loans. I would think that PA would not support criminal prosecution, either. Anyone know for sure???

Good luck!

eleroo, PA has very gray areas regarding internet lending. Research has to be done with this one. PA isn't clear at all. All the pdl's will need to be looked at first.

Can goudah or anyone with PA experience please help? I'm at a loss regarding PA. They are so confusing with their pdl laws. I'm bumping this up so someone may see it and help! :D

Darkeyes...since it seems we need to know if they are licensed in their own state can you look at your loan on line and see if it says where they are or what state they are following.
Also on paydayselect..you said you were paying but then had to renew?? The amount of money you paid for roll overs or renewals counts also. We need the total amount debited from your account for each one ..doesn't matter at this point whether it went to the principle or not.
