Getting Nervous

Ok
The calls have started. Got a really nasty call from # 800 864 6033. I googled the number and it was Sims Associates. Called and got threatened, so I hung up.I dont even know which lender it was for. They refused to tell me.They wanted to scream instead.
Please let me know what to do now, I thought I was calm about all this, but apparently these places still intimadate me.

And this is why they need to lend illegally to US citizens:

I think is a WONDERFUL thread! It gives information to any one else who may be dealing with this pdl. It also shows what kind of overseas companies we are dealing with. Isn't it just amazing? You actually have to laugh about it or you would have nightmares! It's unreal!

Black it shall be. I may have to take out a loan to buy a new ball gown. Does any one know of a tiny country made up of 600 tiny islands willing to loan me a few bucks? Oh yeah !!!!
Cannr
So right. We are having fun with this, but also getting out some important info regarding these far off places.
When I started this thread I was sooooo upset, but now I can laugh and have fun with it. I slept well last night knowing I was not doing anything wrong

You bet. I firmly believe that laughter IS the best medicine. Especially in situations like ours. There is a very special bond in this community. I have never seen anything like this before. Strangers becoming friends in the worst possible circumstances.
No judgements , only help and guidence and oh yes the wonderful laughter that sometimes comes out of this mess

As I've said before, if we let someone call themselves stupid for getting into this mess, then it's like calling ourselves stupid. I don't think any of us are stupid. We just got ourselves into a mess that we needed to get out of. Everyone makes mistakes. How can we judge someone for doing the same thing we did? And they don't call pdl's predatory lenders for nothing . . . . This site is a godsend for so many people . . . . . Most debt counselors and such don't even deal with payday loans, so most people have no where to turn to until they find this site . . . . .

Same here Kash, I think I was doing a search for payday loan problems, or something of that nature, and I came by these forums. I thank God for that day. The relief I felt when I was able to talk about this problem was unbelievable, it's like therapy. I can't express how greatful I am.

JEN, I really was begining to think that I was the onky one in the world who got sucked into this pay day hell. I was actually losing my mind over all of this. No eating, no sleeping, just scared all the time. Who would have thought it was possible to regain control over your life . Regaining control over your paycheck is amazing.
Anyway not only am I not alone in this I am not the only New Yorker.Yea New York

Yes Swedish, Grenadine is some sort of drink thingy.
Go figure. How in the world could they possibly think they would be considered legal, I suppose they know that they aren't and are just hoping they dont get found out. They didnt take into consideration that people like us would come along.

OMG!! I love this thread, just read it all the way from the beginning

If i am correct, someone had requested info on Onestepcash, i had a loan with them long ago, here is the info i have:
Onestepcash
AKA:
North American Financial
Website: platinumcashadvance.com
email: customerservice(at)onestepcash.com
Phone: 866-431-2274

On another train of thought, reading the stuff about the islands, grenada rang a bell so i looked it up. Does any one recall (or am i getting old! lol) the war with grenada in 1983? Here is just a brief part of what i found...

In 1983 the United States of America (USA) led an invasion of Grenada which removed from power the government of the island. In 1986, fourteen former members of the Government of Grenada and three soldiers were convicted for the 19 October 1983 execution-style murders of Prime Minister Maurice Bishop and several others, including Foreign Minister Unison Whiteman, Minister of Education and Women????????s Affairs Jacqueline Creft, Minister of Housing Norris Bain, Fitzroy Bain (President of the Agricultural and General Workers Union), Evelyn Bullen (businesswoman), and Keith Hayling (member of the Marketing & Import Board).(1) Fourteen of those convicted were sentenced to death by hanging while the other three were sentenced to lengthy terms of imprisonment.

Wow!! No wonder they turned to pdl's! lol

For anyone who found this interesting, heres a bit more:

Known as Operation Urgent Fury, the intervention by the United States forces met with limited resistance and achieved effective control of the country within a matter of days, with the official cessation of hostilities occurring on 2 November. Twenty-four civilians were killed in the invasion, including 21 patients in a psychiatric hospital accidentally bombed by US planes.

The invasion of Grenada was deemed by the United Nations General Assembly to be an unlawful aggression and intervention into the affairs of a sovereign state.(6) A similar resolution under discussion in the UN Security Council, although receiving widespread support, was ultimately vetoed by the USA.
