Geneva Roth update

Ok, so I haven't heard from these guys in a several months now. They never sent a response to the BBB, and I finally asked the DFI for some news. The DFI received a letter from them dated June 25,2007, but never told me about it. Basically, it's a letter from their attorneys at Bryan Cave stating they haven't violated any Wisconsin laws and they "have and continue to work with xxxx to come to the amicable settlement regarding the money owed to Geneva Roth related to the loan." As if! These people haven't worked with me or contacted me, or even harrassed me...lol

So what's my next step should I contact GR myself and find out how much I can settle on this original $200 loan??? I'd rather pay them something to be done with them for good.

I have a $200 PDL with Geneva Roth dba Loan Point, I sent out my letters before it defaulted on 8/31/07. Haven't heard a word from them. I think I'll just leave it alone till they contact me....I have enough other to deal with. It's sure strange how these places operate though....crazy...never know what to expect.

joshua, good for you! Although, I don't understand them asking for more money when you've overpaid and they're not licensed. As long as you're rid of them, good. However, I still think you should have gotten a refund. (Am I ever happy? LOL!) :D

Yeah, a refund would have been nice, but having them leave me alone forever is priceless. I miss you guys on the boards!!! I don't get a chance to haunt them as much as before because I am juggling two jobs and occasional overtime now! As long as the money comes in and I can pay off bills without using any more pdls, I am so stress free right now!

Way to go Joshua. I totally understand wanting to get them off your back. If I had the extra money I would too, but since I didn't have the money I called in the highups to shut them up for a while until I get them the 210 left on the principal. I got lucky to not have to pay them any more than I borrowed. But you are lucky to be rid of them for good!
