teri, no! They have five different addresses listed with the BBB. Incredible, huh? The most recent (since they move whenever the cops catch on to them) is the one I'm posting. I am also posting the email that will go directly to them. Use this address and email for any results:

teri, oh, they'll get it! Be prepared for some nasty stuff once they do! Not to scare you, because it's actually kind of funny once you get into it! But, they'll respond. I do believe I know every response you'll get! LOL! Did you file your complaints with the agencies? With MTE, it is important to file those complaints, as they are completely illegal.

I haven't filed complaints yet, I figure I have to wait until they trying debiting my account. Right now nothing is in default.

That CashNet is a nasty piece of work. I have been sending in payments (money orders), which have been cashed. I received a call just now here at work stating that I have until 5:00 today to take care of the matter. My heart is pounding!

I wouldn't worry . . . . What are they going to do at 5pm? At worst they would sue you, and even then that is not the end of the world.

Just keep making the payments like you have been and you will eventually be paid off and done with them.

They said they would contact the state of Florida.

If they were to sue you and recieve a judgement against you, most likely they would garnish your wages.

But this is the worst case scenario. Odds are they won't do anything but call you and bug you. They would be stupid to sue someone that is making payments.

I thought in the state of Florida your wages could not be garnished.

The key there is head of household. If you are head of family and provide more than 50 percent of the contribution to a dependent which can be a spouse or yourself as in tax laws they can only garnish your wages if you agree to it in writing. That does not protect your personal property. Although the court in Florida will only issue a judgment. They will not collect! That is up to the County Sheriff!

That is true! But do you have to do it in anticipation or after you receive a garnishment?

Also Federal laws say they can only garnish 25 percent of your "disposable income." I haven't had any of that in a while.

They don't consider your real expenses in calculating disposable income - It's really your income after taxes and such are taken out.

If I'm sending some little something about every other week, will they still might try and go after me?

I wouldn't think so . . . . I think they are just trying to pressure you into paying more . . . . I would just continue what you are doing. They are not going to waste money suing someone that they are receiving payments from regularly.

Great news!!!!!!! I just made a settlement offer to CashNet and they took it. The lady I talked to was very nice. She said that the legal mediation practice place (which they are contracted with) should not have handled it the way they did. I feel so much better.
