Being overcharged on PDLs by Oklahoma laws--what can I do?

A lot of times these people will ignore your letters or tell you they do not have to follow the laws of your state.
But, on that note, you do need to write a letter to each company telling them you revoke authorization to debit your account, any wage assignment you may have signed, permission to contact your employer or place of employment and permisson to contact any of your references. Inform them that they are not abiding by your state's law and I would put the law in your letter. Let each of them know how much you have already paid back and how much your balance is according to your state's law.
Take a copy of these letters to your bank and let them know that these people do not have permission to debit your account or to even send so called "paper" checks through your account. Talk to them and see what they will do for you. They may recommend you closing your account, which is what I would do. Also make sure you take copies of these letter to your employer (HR/Payroll department).
Also, let your AG know about these places and what they are doing by overcharging. Be prepared for phone calls and threats. Oh, you might want to check to see if these places are licensed to do business in your state. They very well may not be, so that puts them even more in the wrong.
Good Luck

Thanks so much for your answer. I have the letters written and ready to mail Monday. I have really been thinking about closing my bank account. I will check with my bank and see if they ACHs can force it open. After I close my account, what can I expect from the PDLs? I really don't want to be sued by them. Just want to know what will happen next.
Thanks again!

shauna, criminal action is prohibited in Oklahoma. Am I safe to assume these pdl's you have are all internet? Or are there store front pdl's included? That makes a difference regarding your bank account. If they're all internet pdl's, you really should consider closing the account, but like you posted, ask your bank about any pending pdl debits "forcing" it back open. If that would be the case, they can put a hard debit block/hard hold on the account & any debits would be rejected. This would include ACH debits, paper checks, electronic checks, etc. As you read in the above post, these pdl's will continue to hit your account even if you ask them not to. Actually, they continue to hit your account even after it's closed! They're crazy! So, just revoking the debit authorization really isn't enough. They don't abide by it. But, please clarify if these are all internet pdl's. If any store fronts are involved, you might not be able to close the account. I'm just being cautious here.

And just to be on the safe said please look at the list of licensed lenders (you can usually find it on your AG site) and make sure none of them are licensed lenders.
