Westbury Ventures debited my checking account

This morning I went online and checked my checking account. I was shocked to see that Westbury Ventures/LoanShop debited $390 from my already negative checking account (it's been a rough month). I know I had a payday loan with them a couple of years ago that was never really resolved. That was with an old bank account, though. How could they have this new information?
Last week I was very desperate for money and was checking out PDL's online (I know, I know...I shouldn't). I filled out a few applications but NEVER signed anything or spoke with anyone, nor was any money deposited into my account.
So, my question is....what can I do to get these Wesybury jerks to stop debiting my account (and put back the $390 they already DID debit)?

I will explain this problem to the bank. They will put a dispute with Westbury and verify the charges. Since you are sure that it is an unauthorized debit, your bank will be able to revert the money back to your account. There are many stories on Westbury Ventures on this forum. File your complaints with the attorney general????????s office and the local BBB and request them to investigate Westbury.

lucky, while searching around on pdl sites, did you put in your bank account information? Even though you didn't "sign" anything, did you put your account information in? I'm thinking one of the pdl sites you were searching on is apparently affiliated with Westbury. They then got your new bank information and sucked out the money they thought you owed them. However, do go to your bank and dispute the charge. If you act quickly enough, they should be able to reverse it back. However, Westbury now has your new bank account information. Not good. You might really want to consider doing something about that bank account now. They can hit it again and again since they have the information.

lucky, you might want to consider closing that account. Now that Westbury has your information, others may also have it. Please let us know how it goes regarding that bank account and getting that debit reversed. Honestly, they didn't have authorization to debit that account, but you know how pdl's are. And another reason I say that about closing the account is other pdl's might just "deposit money" into your account without your knowledge, then here we go with the cycle of paying back again. Let us know how it goes!
