Thanks for letting us know you are in Texas, other Texans will be along shortly to assist you further.
First it will help if you sign up and get a proper login so you won't have to be a guest anymore. Then you can earn rewards by sharing your experience, as there are others not asking the questions but can get answers from yours.
Next post all of your PDLs, their name how much you borrowed and how much you already paid both Internet and Storefront. I'm sure there are people here that have dealt with the storefront before as well.
Before you close your bank account read more about it, there is a post you should read. IMPORTANT - Read before closing your bank account due to pdl. And make sure that you check with your bank that they won't reopen a bank account when it is closed, and if they do, then you can get a hard hold or a deposit only on it. Because just blocking the pdls won't work, they'll sneak through with other names.
As for employer I haven't dealt with that one yet. That is important if they can actually threaten with wage assignments (which for me in OR they cannot), or that is what I understand.
Most importantly, take a deep breath, keep reading, it will all be okay.

charley, I'm posting your Texas state pdl law for us to look at. But before you go doing anything with your bank account, keep in mind that you have store front pdl's. You must be very careful regarding store front pdl's, as they are normally licensed/legal and abiding by your state law. You don't want to do anything rash like run out and close your bank account when you have checks out to store fronts. Your internet pdl's are completely different. We can more than likely help with both. But as stated in the above post, we will need you to post the names of the pdl's (both store front and internet), how much you borrowed (principle amount only) and how much you've paid back. Then we can go from there! :D
You will find the Payday loan laws for Texas here (just select your state),
