Begins with wrong choices and leads to lessons learned!

My husband and I are in our early 30's with 4 kids (newest one is a week old!). I am a stay at home mom (who could afford child care?) and my husband works in technical support for a large computer company. We are a one income family and have been since our marriage 4 years ago. I had less than 1000 in small debts when we married on top of a 14K student loan. This is my big burden. He had a few small debts less than 1000 too probably. We had incurred and paid off some medical bills and now have a 2500 auto loan with a family member. We have been blessed to come to our senses financially- not to accumulate anymore debt. Now we are dealing with the ramifications of our past choices. Our "biggie" right now is my student loan. I look forward to getting lots of great advice in the appropriate forum as I am about to have to make the dreaded "first phone call" to set things up for my student loan on Monday!
