My BBB response from Paycheck Today

I posted this in the debt consolidation and settlement board, and thought I'd let you guys on this side know as well. It made me raise and eyebrow!

I filed a complaint with the BBB. On the website Paycheck Today was listed as MTE Finacial and that is where my complaint was forwarded to.
Here is where it gets tricky.
MTE Financial has no record of Paycheck Today as being one of their DBA's, and no record of me being a client. The BBB of OK can not locate Paycheck Today, anywhere. The BBB has 3 people working on it and MTE Financial has 2 of their Legal People looking into it in case Paycheck Today is using their name illegally. The BBB has told me without directly telling me as they can't officially do so, that I've been scammed. The BBB advised me to file a complaint with the FTC and AG. Which I did. They also informed me to notify another agency, and I'm sorry I don't have that name here with me, I can post it when I'm at work tomorrow, I will have the information then.
Paycheck Today has not contacted me on the phone yet, however I am getting threatening emails. Of course, I passed them along to the AG.

Also, Paycheck Today just sent me an email stating I need to contact them immediately. I replied that I want their mailing address. It will be interesting to see what the outcome is.

I had a loan with Paycheck Today also. When I first complained with the BBB it also defaulted to MTE. I have all the email from Paycheck Today and they have the same address as MTE. It was my understanding that it is one of many DBA's for Rio Resources and MTE. They actually turned me into a CA named ARM of Florida. I filed a BBB complaint against them also and now they are saying since I was looking for a refund they had no further action on me. I have also filed with the NY AG on this this company - I believe the scam is on the BBB - in my opinion they are the same company and they are just giving everyone the run around.

Oh, please. I so do not trust MTE Financial. They claimed to the BBB that they are not One Click Cash or US Fast Cash. Yes, they are. The only one they "owned up" to was Quickest-Cash-Advance. I've been fighting with MTE for months regarding "who they are". They are lying. Take my word for it. Just file your complaints with the FTC and with your state AG. And file a complaint separately on MTE Financial.

I had a loan out with this company and I complained directly to them via e-mail about charging fees higher than the State of Arizona allows, I recived an e-mail back stating that my account was PIF. I believe I still may have an address for this company and will check and post it here.

I had a loan with Paycheck Today which I overpaid. They are not legal in CA. I filed a complain with the BBB in Minnesota, as this is the address I was given the BBB in Minnesota said they could not locate them at this address. So, I was looking at my loan agreement and at the top of each page it says MTE Financial dba Paycheck Today. So, I filed a complaint with the OK BBB. MTE stated that they knew nothing about Paycheck Today. So, I faxed my loan agreement to the BBB. MTE continued to state that it knew nothing about Paycheck Today. Paycheck Today has also referred my account to ARM. I sent ARM a registered letter telling them that they are attempting to collect an illegal debt and that I was adding them to my complaint regarding Paycheck Today to the AG office. I haven't heard from them since. I truly believe it is an MTE entity and they are lying as usual.

If they use the miami, Ok addy they are on an indian reservation and cannot be touched by anyone. I have talked with OK's AG about this. They were supposed to be having a meeting with the higher up's on the reservation but I do not know how that turned out. So keep filing complaints to let the government know what they are doing, but they use their own rules there. And yes paycheck today is MTE they have the same addy.

You guys keep fighting this! I've been fighting with MTE from day one and they still continue to deny who they are. Fight it! We've got the proof. These idiots are insane and think that lying is going to not get them caught. And when they keep turning people over to collections (whatever floats their boat), we're all just going to ask for debt validation letters. Do they not realize this? Hello! They're just so retarded. But - everyone - if you have an MTE related pdl, please note the above post. If you can not locate the pdl name and address and you know it's MTE (which it usually is), use the Miami Oklahoma address. File complaints against the pdl name and also against MTE themselves. And, please, please make sure you file complaints. Someone's got to do something about them once they figure out what they're trying to pull.

I am confused as to why none of the people complaining about MTE or Paychecktoday investigated whether this company was valid or legal when they took out the loan, why is now that your payment is due that you want to investigate whether they were MTE financial or Paycheck today, both of those names appear on your promissary note and loan agreement, so if you were so weary about it you should have faxed over the loan cancellation form and not agreed to recieve any money from this company, i have never had a problem with any of my pay day loans becouse i pay them, i no i cant take money from a company and never pay it back, and i dont take money from a company and try to look for a law that gives me the right to be a dead beat....pay your bills people

You are welcome to come into this forum, however please refrain from passing judgement. You do not know the situations of our members. No one here is trying to be a dead beat. We actually advocate paying what you legally owe these places., NO oone here is saying not to. I am glad that you are such a good customer of these PDLs. Have a good life
