Still Waiting
Well, I did all my work. I filed complaints, got a new checking account, sent all my letters, and once again have a full pay check. Thank you all for the wonderful support and advice.
I defaulted in April, but did not know what to do until I found this site (by accident!!!)
Still I have not heard from any of my pdls except
for One Step cash, and Fast Bucks Now. I dont believe they are licensed in NY.
Can you help with
United Cash loans
Pay Day 2 Go
Its My Pay Day
I can not find any info on weather they are licensed in New York

United Cash Loans (MTE Financial) is not licensed anywhere, so don't worry about them for now. By the way, I have one with them that I defaulted on too (even though I overpaid them, but they claim I still owe them money), and with One Click Cash (which is the same company) and neither one have contacted me yet.
I had one with Payday2go, but I paid it in full (before I found this site). I don't know whether they are licensed or not, hopefully someone will come along with more info.
Isn't it a great feeling to have control of your money again? I used to dread getting paid, because I knew these vultures would suck my account dry, but I'm not worried anymore!

Does NY even license these companies? I would think they wouldn't, since they aren't allowed to operate in NY . . . .

Hi
thanks for the replies
Goudah , you are probably correct. I must have had a slight mind collapse, New York does not permit these loans, so i would suppose that none ar licensed here.
Just trying to be cautious

Yes, Mperez was told that in the case of internet companies that if they are licensed in another state then they can lend legally to NY residents. I'm trying to confirm this information. I don't want to say it's fact until then.

kashzan don't panic. I started out with 15 PDL's of which only one was licensed in a state where payday loans are legal. Even though I was told that if they had a legal license for their home state they were considered legal loans you are still in a position to negotiate a settlement. Odds are that you overpaid way past what you borrowed. The best thing you did for yourself was to get back in control of your paycheck. Make sure you go to the NYS Attorney General website and click on file a complaint. There is an option for Internet complaint form. That is the one you want. There is a pdf form you can download. They do not accept online forms but it is worth the effort to get your details together and file a complaint on each company. I spoke live to one of the agents for this division of the AG's office and she assurred me at the very least they will attempt to mediate for you. When these places even hear the words AG office they are more than likely going to call it a day and walk away. Keep us posted - I'm just finishing up all of my paperwork and am going to take it to the post office this afternoon. By the way I also went on line to the BBB and filed on line complaints (under billing issues)on each company also. I have recieved email indicating that the companies have now all been contacted and I'm waiting on their responses.
thanks Mperez I am trying not to panic, but itis hard to stay c
thanks Mperez
I am trying not to panic, but itis hard to stay calm. I was almost positive that nys was the state that was fighting the hardest to stop these kinds of loans.
I know that you are the New york expert here, so if you say they are legal here then i have to believe it
again, thanks for all your hard work
