I had to take another in paying one

Paying off one payday loan made it so I had to take another then another. How do you pay these off and be able to afford your normal monthly bills?

This is a devastating cycle that sucks you in, because it seems so easy, right? Get a PDL, pay it off with the fee and then get another one--and then get one more and another one after that and another one and you see where I'm going with this. And the answer is it's very hard to pay them off while paying your regular bills, but it can be done.

close your bank account so that you can gain control of your money again. Sit down and figure how much money you owe and work out payment plans for any of the pdl's that you legally owe money too. If you notify them right off the bat it will be much easier to work with them. Otherwise if they have to contact you they might not be so willing to work with you.

Make sure you set a realistic amount that you can afford to pay them each month. Read through the posts to get ideas from other people, we have all been there.

Before you go closing your bank account, you might want to provide us with what state you are located in and we can check the pdl law for your state. And, also if you like, you can provide us with the names of the pdl's you have. We can more than likely help you here. But, until we know all the facts, do not run out and do anything rash. Please post what state you are in and what pdl's you are dealing with. We can then go from there. :D

Also, we don't even know yet if leslie has store fronts involved. We would need more information in order to assist her any further, if she wishes.

Thank you, fedup. Before people post for others to close their bank accounts, please be sure we have all the information needed. We need to know their state, what pdl's they have, etc. They may be licensed. They may be store fronts. We need to see the state law regarding pdl's. We need all this information before any advice is given regarding bank accounts.

Indeed you are correct and I should have advised them to not to close their account without first consulting the information that you provided. I apologize. It's just with these sleaze bag (sp) pdl's one can never be too careful. Sorry for any incorrect information that I have given. Good luck and keep us posted.
