what are the laws in Washington State concerning payday loans? I have one, that I can not pay off (the company deposited the check into my account..and the funds weren't available). By law, can I set up payment plans? And, can they legally contact my "refrences"?

I assume this was a storefront loan, correct? I think it would be best to contact them and ask to make payment arrangements. As long as you keep in contact with them, they should have no reason to contact your references.
