PA Attorney General?
Thanks

cynthia, try not to take the calls from Cash Today any longer. Your AG has contacted them. Let them handle it. You will receive a response from your AG. Cash Today is trying to go around the AG and deal with you directly. Do not do this. Please try not to speak with them when they call, if at all possible.

These people really break the law every chance they get. You would think that once they hear from an attorney, they would cut the crap out, but they don't. It's absolutely amazing.

Oh ok, I really didn't think the Attorney General would contact them that fast. They hang up on me anyway.

Ok What's the FTC? Also Cash4u2day has not called since. I can't believe it. By now I would have about 3 calls at home.

Okay. The FTC is the Federal Trade Commission. You can go to their site at www.ftc.gov. You can file a complaint on line. It's very easy. Go to the web site, look at the top and you will see "consumer protection". Click on that and it'll give you the option to "file a complaint". You NEED to file a complaint with the FTC. Please do this. The FTC is interested in these illegal overseas pdl's. Please file your complaint regarding Cash Today with them. And, just to let you know, I hadn't heard from Cash Today in like 2 months, and then the other day I had an email from them. So....they didn't forget you. They'll eventually contact you. Hopefully it'll just be via email and not the telephone. Please file with the FTC.

Is there some kind of sample letter people use for the FTC? Should I complain about paying $530.00 for a $225.00 loan and then the calls also. The Thing with Cash today is First you can't understand them and it's like they are reading from a script and when you say well According the Pa laws they hang up and the same person calls you 1 hour later and I start laughing saying I just talked to you. I explained all of this to the attorney General when they contacted me and the guy was like this is harrasment. the funny thing is I'm not even in default yet. Sorry to go on and on but these people are driving me to drink. Ok so the FTC I complain about the money or the calls? Thanks

cynthia, there's no "letter" or anything to file with the FTC. You just go on line. You type in the information (the pdl name/address/website/etc) any information you have regarding them. Then just state your story. How much you borrowed, the date, how much you paid back, if you can - give them the dates and amounts debited from your account - tell them if it was a "verbal agreement" over the telephone and when, tell them they constantly call you harrassing you, tell them everything. Make sure you're clear about the pdl name, the fact that it was (I believe?) a "verbal agreement", and the fact they they are located overseas. Nothing fancy. Just the facts. Please, please file with them. And, yes, tell them they are harrassing you over the telephone.

HI
I just did it. Really I did it twice because After I filed I hit new complaint. Will they call me or anything about it? Should I do this for all my loans? I would love to shut these companies down for good. NOone should go thru this.

cynthia, OMG! Yes! File all your pdl's with the FTC! Please! File them with the BBB, the FTC, and your state AG. Put in complaints on all of them to the FTC. They will contact you if they need any more information. If you don't hear from them, don't feel like they're not paying attention. They are. Please, file all your pdl's with the FTC! It takes time for some of these government agencies to respond because they review every complaint. Do not get discouraged and please file with them! I'm glad you asked!
