A lot of forum members are having difficulty with Westbury. If you do a "google search" just on this site and type the name in, you will see all kinds of posts regarding them and their collection tactics. You will find it interesting. And, no, they're not going to come and take you to jail. Please do the "google search". It is very informative to read what others have experienced. It will put you more at ease.

Amry, they are not going to send you to jail. Westbury is a very nasty company that likes to make illegal threats. Did you get a payday loan from one of their affiliates? They operate under The Loan Shop and Mt. Oread Ventures and I know a couple other names but I don't remember what they are. Don't let them scare you. They threatened me every day. Laugh at them. They are idiots!

Westbury will tell you all kinds of lies. They did that to me, they called me also. But I never answered the phone to a number I didn't know. Then I got the e-mails. They would send me settlement offers and I refused them. They did some nasty things to my checking account that they were not supposed to and I sent proof to my states DFI and when I had the money I sent them an offer and stated what they did wrong and they accepted my offer. Now I am PIF with them. So if you stick to your guns and stand your ground with them they will settle with you for a normal amount.

If you need help trying to settle with them just let us know how much you borrowed and how much you have paid back. Then we can help you with your letters to them.
