I don't recall ever reading any threads about this firm, but I checked them out on the BBB website, and they do have a satisfactory record, which is good. I could only see 1 complaint, which had been resolved.
Are you having problems with them?

there is a ton of info on this firm they are a debt collection agency from texas and one site claims that they can only sue you if you live in texas. Like most debt collectors it is all smoke and lies.
They do not sue unless you're in Texas but I believe Cap One sue

I am getting calls and letters from them as well. I got one settlement letter that was 85% of my debt. Anyone have any luck negotiating a lower payoff with them? I tried to call Capital one directly and deal with them but they gave me his number to call anyone. Am I stuck dealing with him? Capital one has already charged off on this. If i keep trying to contact Capital one is it possible to find someone that will negotiate with me?? Or which is by better option at this point!!?

Although, Capital One has charged off your account, you can still contact their settlement department. If you are unable to speak with anybody, it??? s better to leave couple of voice mails.
You can request Capital One to pull back the account from the CA and if you are having the adequate fund then you can convey a settlement proposal also.
