Settlement from USFast Cash- Yes or No??

Hi Again,
Not sure if this is good or bad.
I was thinking of e-mailing them back and telling them I am awaiting the response from the NY AG.
Can I send them a counter offer?
I can send them the money, just want the opinion from you guys.

We can offer a one time reduction offer: ______$110.00_____
Your account has been reduced to the above amount owing until : ___08/03/07___.
We will not debit your account again to give you a chance to pay the reduced balance, if no response or payment is made-regular debits will resume per the
contract after 08/03/07.

Suggestions? Thanks

****YOU WILL OWE NOTHING MORE IF THIS SETTLEMENT IS RECEIVED*******

This is totally going to be depending upon whether you want it to go away quickly and quietly or stick to your guns and pay them nothing else. I have settled a few of mine even though I had overpaid them, just to get rid of them. It depends on how much you want to go through with the company.

mystery,
I'm not telling you what to do. But I've been dealing with US Fast Cash. They sent me a "settlement" offer. I had overpaid them also. I did not accept their "settlement" offer. I wasn't going to give them more money when I had already overpaid them. That is just MY opinion. Some people want to pay it just to get rid of them and get them out of their lives. And I'm all for that. Whatever works best for you. If you want them gone, then go ahead and accept the settlement offer. They are Satan. However, I'm too stubborn! I figured I'd already overpaid them, they owe me money, so why in the world am I going to give them more? Plus the fact that they are MTE Financial which is not licensed anywhere, so they are operating illegally. Just my opinion! You do what is best for you!

mystery, here's what I did. Now, you do what you think is best for you. Everyone is different. I responded to their "settlement offer" and told them I had already overpaid the loan, that I was actually due a refund from them, that they are not licensed, that they are lending illegally, and I am not paying them any more money. I then went on to tell them that I have filed complaints with the BBB, the FTC, my state AG, etc. My last sentence to them was "it is in the hands of the government agencies now." I haven't heard another word from them. However, I'm not stupid. I know they will jump out of the wood work one day. That's okay. Just make sure you've filed your complaints. You respond any way you like. I was just point blank with them (as they were driving me insane!). If you do decide not to take the offer, then inform them that you've already overpaid and filed your complaints and they can respond to the government agencies when they are contacted. Just my opinion. You do what is right for you.

Mystery..Cannr is right..it is up to you. I negotiated with United just to get rid of them...I did counter offer and insisted they subtract what it was going to cost me to send it moneygram at their request. I honestly did it because I had 7 to fight..and 3 I morally felt I still owed money to and I needed to get a few put away to make me feel better...
