You can revoke your wage assigment. You need to send letters to these companies and make sure your payroll department has a copy also. The wage assignment that you "sign" is voluntary, so revoke your authorization for them to do this.

Let me correct, at least for the internet ones. I don't know if any of these are store fronts and what the policy is on store fronts, if you have any. But you can revoke this if they are internet.

You might want to check your state law and see if these places are legal there and if so what the terms are for short term loans. Some states pdls are prohibited, so have caps on what they can charge, so will only allow 1 loan at a time, etc. Check out your law and you might be surprise. Also check to see if any of these places are licensed in your state. 5 to one, the internet ones probably aren't.
Also if you will list how much you have borrowed from each and how much you have paid each one of them back, I am sure we can get you some more help on how to get these people out of your hair.
license
Yes, do as 2ndband says, check to see if they're licensed, just to be on the positive side. But I can tell you 3 of them are not licensed at all. But check each one for yourself and just be sure none of them are. I am assuming, from the names, they are all internet. However, please post as to if any are store front.

I appreciate all the help, i was so disappointed when the person called me back for the free consult and said he couldnt help me at all. I have been reading and reading on the forums trying to figure out what to do first, i have managed to locate my payroll dept information for my company (im in michigan, they are in texas) and get the forms i need to change my direct deposit. Now i guess i will need to open a new account but it takes two weeks for my company to process the change so i will have to wait to close my current account and try to keep up with the payments for now. At least i now know who to send the letter to regarding cancelling the wage assignments. Here is the information on my payday loans. These are all internet loans.
USFastcash: Original loan $300 have paid $270
One Click Original loan $350 have paid $315
Paydayok total principal borrowed $875 have paid $2453.93 in interest and on principal
Payday Select original loan $300 have paid $300.74
Loanstore original loan $300 have paid well over $1000
CashDirectexpress original loan $300 have paid $380
needspeedycash original loan $100 have paid $31.43
National Payday original loan $300 have paid $150
I know i overpaid on some of these and i owe a small amount on a few but not much. I figured:
usfastcash owe $72.00
oneclickcash owe $83.00
paydayok overpaid $$$$ too much to calculate!
paydayselect owe $41.26
Loanstore overpaid $$$$$ again, too much to calculate
cashdirectexpress overpaid $38.00
needspeedycash overpaid $16.43
nationalpayday owe $192.00
And that is assuming they are licensed to do business in michigan (they arent) and have not violatated any other pdl laws in michigan which they all have by rolling over my loans multiple times and allowing me multiple pd loans.
I have emailed paydayok and paydayselect first as others have said they were fairly cooperative and had goodluck getting them to close out their loans. They turned down my request to lower my payments but that was only my first try. As a result of that email, i am assuming i should move ahead and send them a copy of my state laws, note that they are not licensed in michigan and state the amount i have overpaid them according to michigan state laws and see where that gets me.
I would ideally like to try to use T & C acceptance corp to help me out as i have read many good things about them, but i see i would need $155 to get started and i need to be prepared to close my checking account. The thing i fear most is having the pdl businesses call and harrass me, my coworkers or my boss and having it affect my job. I guess i will stop here since this is getting a bit longwinded. Any info you can give is GREATLY appreciated and if you have contact info on T&C i would appreciate that.
Thanks for reading this whole thing and your encouragement and valuable info.

2nband is so right. A paper check is a must. You have to get control. Get aggressive with the ones you have over paid. File complaints to your Office of Financial and Insurance Services, the BBB, the FTC and the AG in your state and the states they are located in. Those two companies alone owe you enough in refunds to pay off the others with a lot of change left over so you won't need to take any more loans. You are really in pretty good shape if you look at it the right way. Certified letters to those two companies with return recepts. Send them copies of your states laws, tell them who you are filing with, demand your money back. Do not settle for a paid in full. They owe you big time and you are going to get what is rightfully yours.

vlin, listen to the advice given. Call your payroll department and tell them you're closing your account. If it takes 2 weeks to process for a new account, can't they do paper check for this pay period? Maybe if you call and explain fraudulent charges on your account, they can act quickly enough and do this for you. It's worth a phone call.

You need to get the account the pdl's have closed asap. Please read through this thread:

Thank you guys! This only re-enforces what I keep trying to tell people! I swear to God, some employers are not doing "their job". You can have your direct deposit stopped IMMEDIATELY. There is no reason it can not be. There are too many of us that have had it done with no problem. I personally called TWO DAYS before payday & my THIRD PARTY PAYROLL COMPANY (yes, third party!) changed my account information over the phone with me at that very minute and when I got paid TWO DAYS LATER, the money was deposited into my new account. I'm still so confused when these employers insist it can not be done. Yes, it can. If they can't immediately switch it to your new account, they can issue paper checks until the new account information is entered. They can do this in a heartbeat! Sometimes these places make me so mad when they give people a hard time about changing their bank account! Sorry, had to vent.

Send the wage assignment letter to every single one of these places. It won't hut. I don't recognize them as any pdl's that are notorious for doing that but one can never be too sure.

I sent them to everyone too. The second you don't, one of these jokers will decide they are going to use it and contact your payroll department. Oh oh cannr, when I sent a wage revocation letter to DMS Marketing, the witch I was dealing with emailed me back and said, "What are you talking about?"
LMAO. I didn't bother attempting to explain it to her. They were probably dialing the phone that very minute to call my hr dept to get my wages. I don't trust any of them.

Oh, sass! I'm cracking up! She probably thought "What the hell is this?" LOL! I swear, I just sent it to every single one of them so they couldn't come back on me saying I signed something. I knew I didn't, but do you really think I was going to take the chance of getting THREATENED with it? Oh no! I read too much on here and probably revoked things that didn't even exist to all my pdl's! LOL! Hey, can't say I didn't cover myself!

She was completely stupid, cannr. I am sure she knew darn well what it was. They were calling my work every five minutes. There was no way I wasn't going to cover my a$$ with every single one of these places. It was someone from Westbury Ventures that said that to me!

Update! Well, some good news this morning. I got an email from paydayok stating they consider my loan paid in full. I'm not sure if i will settle for that as i overpaid them $1500! I just got their email and am waiting for responses on 5 others, i will wait a few days and see if i get any other responses and then make my decision. So for today, one small victory dance, many more to come! ~~{}~~

Congratulations vlindell!!! I found Payday OK to be one of the easiest companies to work with, and also one of the friendliest. Whatever you do, keep that copy of the PIF letter. Do not ever under any circumstances lose it or throw it out because you never know when some bottom feeder is going to try to collect.

Congratulations on the PIF. It does not hurt to try to get a refund. Whether or not you get it, well you never know until you try. I got a refund from one of the companies I had a pdl through and nothing from the others. I have been given the run around so much for MagnumZ, that it isn't funny. Be pursistant though. Again congrats!!!

Just a piece of advice, if anyone's interested. I talked to my hr dept today and explained everything and how I was worried about wage assignments and the woman I talked to told me to send them (the hr department) a copy of a wage revoke letter, but not to send one to the pdl companies because it might give them ideas. She said if they send in the paperwork, her forwarding them that letter would cover it. Also, on that note, my state's AG told me to pretty much avoid contact with them unless I wanted to try to get them to stop calling me. I actually haven't contacted any of them, but Angela Morgan from Westbury is emailing me 3 times a day. Just a seed of thought.
BIG Happy dance this morning!!
Hey everyone!! I am doing a great big victory dance this morning :) Here is my latest response from Paydayok:
PayDay OK has reviewed your request and is willing to offer you a refund of $250.00.
I know I paid a huge amount in excess interest but this is wayyyyy more than i ever hoped for when i first came here looking for help. OH WHAT A FEELING!! lol. Thank you all again so much for the invaluable advice and support, i could never have done it without you. One down, 7 to go, and now i know i can do it! :)

That's GREAT!!!! Thanks for sharing that news--it will give everyone here hope!
And I agree with the school of thought that it's more important to ensure that your HR gets copies of your wage revokation letters than the actual PDL's. It's good to send to the PDL's as well, but since HR will actually be reviewing their attempts to debit, always good to get it to them first.

Good Morning all! It is a bright and sunshiny friday! One more down, had a PIF sitting in my inbox this morning! Happy dance, Happy dance! 2 down, 6 to go. Not bad for a weeks work! Now, i have a new question and need opinions. I have a response from DMSmktg(loanstore) Here is there response:
"Vicki,
Please give me a call at the number listed below so that we may discuss your accounts. I will be in the office until 11:30 a.m. if I am not in please contact Rachel Kimball at ext 353. Thanks in advance."
I know the people in the forum have had very good luck with the two ladies that are listed in the email but i am very hesitant to contact any pdl on the phone. I am not a good debator, and i am afraid they would start slamming me with the usual b.s. and i would crumble, but i really want to settle with these people, i have overpaid them $421. Any advice or comments on vjohnson before i decide what to do?
Thanks again, youre angels!

Yippee!! Happy Happy Friday!! Dmsmktg is giving me a PIF. I didnt push the refund but i mostly just want to be done with all these people. I did ask for a refund of the last $45 debit that went though and she happily agreed. She will be emailing me papers to sign and that will be 1 more down!! 5 left. Wow, this is amazing. I have saved myself almost $600 in payments this month alone. I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Everyone have a wonderful weekend!! I certainly will. :)

Monday Morning Happy Dance!! :D Just got a email from GECC. I had a (legal) balance due them of $12 but they are giving me a PIF! Not too bad for 10 days since first contact. There is HOPE people!! Keep fighting the evil  PIFs! 4 down in 10 days, I have Usfastcash and Oneclickcash left to deal with. (Nationalpayday i have only paid $150 on a $300 loan and have read they are impossible to deal with so i will probably pay them off with the refund i get from paydayok). But, things are so much better already, i actually have money in my bank account!! Wow, what a feeling, it makes monday mornings so much more pleasant, i don't even mind coming to work! hehe. :D

Way to go!!!!!!!! That is so exciting!!!! Isn't it a good feeling to actually have money again? Keep it up, you are getting there.

vlin, YAY! :D You're doing great! See? I'm glad you post to let everyone know there is hope! Yes, it work, but it's worth the work. You've gotten some good responses so far. I saved the ugly ones for last. And they're still haunting me. LOL! But that's okay. I have my paycheck and they can't keep sucking me dry anymore. Your MTE ones might/might not go well. They don't cooperate with me; however, others have had good luck with them. Let's see if they like you! LOL! You keep up the hard work! You're going great! Any problems, just post!
question for Vicki on her successes
Vicki, what exactly did you send your pdl's to get refunds? Did you email, or did you send certified letters? I'd like tips on your successes! Way to go, you're sounding pretty victorious!
beth
beth, did you overpay your pdl's? Send them a letter regarding your loan, stating the amount, your state laws, what you are legally obligated to pay, your overpayment amount and demand a refund. I sent all my letters via email/fax/USPS. I did it all. That way they can't claim they didn't get anything. Or if they do want to claim they didn't get anything, you have the documentation right in your hand to prove them wrong.
re: pdl overpayments
Cannr,
The first pdl I'm trying to get a PIF & refund from is Rio Resources (TenDollarPayday) in OK. Rio funded my NFCU acct $300 on 6/7/06, and took 6 debit pmts (every payday for 3 months) until I was forced to stop using that acct because of my trouble with multiple pdl's. I opened a new acct on 11/3/06, and am waiting for my statements to see how much they debited that acct. Currently, this pdl is being collected by ARM (Accounts Receivable Management), but debited by United Legal Corp in FL. After my new acct was closed in 1/07 (again due to my multiple pdl's), I have made pdl pmts via disposable credit cards and a reloadable visa debit card. I don't have a way to trace pmts made by the disposable cards, and I was only able to retrieve 3 months of acct activity from my reloadable one, going back to the beginning of June '07. *From my NFCU acct, Rio debited $550. *Unknown amt from my 2nd acct. *Unknown amt from the disposable credit cards. *$65 debited from my reloadable card (but could be more since I bought that card somewhere between Mar-May '07).
SOOOOOO.....So far I have recorded $615 in pmts for my $300 pdl. I live in OH, and the law says $5 fee permitted for every $50 borrowed plus 5% monthly interest. Once I receive my 2nd bank's statements, I will get a better idea how much I paid & on which dates, so that I can try to figure a monthly calculation of interest. But then again, Ohio DOES NOT ALLOW loan renewals at all. Math stresses me out, and this just makes me confused on how to calculate the interest. Do I calculate the interest on the principal $300 minus each month's payments from 6/06 through today 8/07, or possibly calculate the monthly percentage only on the full $300 principal every month since I'm sure that Rio doesn't consider any of my pmts as pmts toward the principal balance, only renewal fees. Or do I only count one month of interest since loan renewals are not legal in Ohio?
SEE WHERE MY CONFUSION IS??? ARGH!

I needed to credit myself for my message that I wrote not knowing that I wasn't signed in!

beth, TenDollarPayDay is MTE Financial. They are not licensed/legal to do business. Only count the principle amount you borrowed. No fees. Tell them the amount of the loan (principle only) and how much you've paid back (which I'm sure is WAY over) and demand a refund. MTE Financial is not fun to deal with, and I can't promise you'll get a refund. Actually, I can't promise they will even admit to being TenDollarPayDay (they are). You need to send them a letter via email/fax/mail. And you need to file complaints to the BBB, the FTC, and your state AG. MTE is not licensed even in their own state to do business.
Hi all, checking is with my latest update. This may be a bit lon
Hi all, checking is with my latest update. This may be a bit long winded since i only have one more pdl to hear from and i am doing a recap for Beth.
I received an settlement offer from Oneclickcash! Happy Dance~~~ :D
Wow, i'm amazed i heard from them. Way to go BBB!! I have overpaid them $22 and they offered to mark my account PIF if I send them $155 by tomorrow via moneygram. I realize this is an overpayment but from what i have read about them on the forum, I am taking the settlement offer just to be done with them and i will consider it one more victory under my belt! Seeing what others have overpaid to these people, $155 seems like a bargain! lol.
Beth, you were interested in what i did to get my PIF's and refunds. I consider myself VERY lucky. I started out simple, just wanted to 'get my feet wet' so i chose one pdl and emailed them using a letter suggested here on the forum as a template. Paydayok and Paydayselect seemed to have the best record in PIF's and refunds so i contacted them first. Paydayok settled with me in a matter of days. They first offered to give me a PIF and i replied restating points in my first letter including the amount i overpaid and demanded a refund. Success! PIF and $250 refund.
That gave me such a boost that i started emailing the rest and when i didnt hear anything after a week, i emailed them all again and again until i got an answer. Bug them as much as they bug you!
I also began filing complaints with the BBB. It is so easy, there is an online complaint form, just fill in the blanks, state what you basically told the PDL's regarding overpayments, state laws, and what you will settle for, etc. You will be amazed how fast that puts those crooks into action! lol.
Thats all i've done so far, but keep in mind, up until i began fighting them, all my pdl's were up to date, (none had defaulted).
So far the only one i havent had a response from is usfastcash but the BBB gave them until the 21st to respond so i am waiting patiently.
I have decided to payoff needspeedycash since i only have a $80 balance and havent yet overpaid them and i am going to payoff National Payday with my refund check from paydayok since i have read here that they are a absolute nightmare to deal with and i still owe a small amount on the princple.
So far the score is Debtconsolidatonforum & me 5, PDL's 0! If i get a PIF from usfastcash, it will be a total wipeout for the pdl's!!! This site has saved my sanity and my paychecks!!
Do a lot of reading on the paydayloan forums and the success storie forum. Do searches for the pdl's you have by name and you will learn who will work with you and who you might need help with. Most of all, don't be afraid to ask questions, thats what everyone here is for. Before you know it, you will be telling your own success story and helping out the next victim of the evil pdl's!! :D
If i could, i would have a big thank you party for everyone here who has helped me, I raise my glass to you all!
vlin,
vlin, good for you! :D I'm glad to hear that One Click is working with you, although I consider it an overpayment (my own personal opinion), but if you want to settle and be rid of them, more power to you! And, don't be surprised if when you get a response from USFastCash that they also will want more money, as they are the same company. But, if it's something you're willing to settle for, go for it! Then you will be rid of all of these forever. You've done great and I'm very happy for you. Once you're done with all your pdl's, I'll be a jealous person! Thanks for sharing your success with everyone!
