I made a terrible mistake

I would call the bank or go in there asap and explain the mistake. Also did you explain to them why you were closing your account? They need to know ahead of time to help protect your accounts.

warren, if you get to the bank ASAP, I'm sure they can fix it. Just make sure that your accounts aren't "linked" if they're at the same bank. You want to be sure the account the pdl's have isn't the account your deposit goes in. Go back to the bank and get it straightened out before the pdl debits start to "pend" and wait to go through.

The bank said that once my direct deposit goes through the account will be reopened. The account the PDLs were withdrawing from has been closed.

A little piece of advice to help with those payday loans, make sure you send them a letter revoking authorization to debit your account and do take a copy of these letters to the bank so they have a record of this. You will need to do one for each company you have payday loans with. Send it via email or USPS return receipt.

Oh, warren! I'm glad your bank issue was easily resolved! Whew! Freaked out and now it's okay! Hang in there! :)
