FL and PDL - help please I have 13 loans

Hello,
I am new to the forum and I was very excited to find this website. I live in Florida and I currently have 13 loans that I defaulted because I could not pay them anymore. I closed the account on Friday - it shows account close but all these payday loans came in and they are pending to be cleared. (?) I have to call the bank on Monday to see what happened. All in all, listed below are the name of the loans and what I owe:

ten dollar loan 250 owed/75 renewal
electroni process 300 owed/90 renewal
payday ok 400 owed/54 renewal
zip cash 450 owed/120 renewal
cashnet 1198 owed/255.64 renewal
apollo 250 owed/75 renewal
plaza 250 owed/75 renewal
jd marketing 250 owed/62.50 renewal
national opp. 250 owed/75.00 renewal
arrowhead 300 owed/90 renewal
sonic payday 1065.64 no renewals - reloan
sonic cash 300 owed/renewal
cash today ltd 250 owed/75 renewal
think cash 750 owed/87 renewal
cash call 2600 owed/216.55 month

I called the state attorney's office and they confirmed that the payday loans listed above where not register in Florida.

My question, how do I handle these? how do i work out how many rollover fees I have paid since I have paid them last year when I started last Sept. I have paid some off but had to get them again because I did not have the money to cover the other fees. I am real sad I got my self in this situation and I was really stupid, but, I need the money. I am alone with my son and dont have any family. What do you do. So I am asking the forum for help/advice/suggestions and support. I know this is not going to be easy. I would love to join t & c, but what if I pay the fee and these pdl want more then what was offered? then i will lose out on the payment when I could of bought food or paid the light. I did already sent a letter to my HR regarding Sonic, they do have some history in this site. Some are funny. I can handle the calls when they call because I will say I have to call you back and I can drive them crazy like laughing every time they call act crazy. Had a friend that did that act really sweet and dumb they had to hang up on her. It was funny. So this is my story. Can they sue me? I see in the forum that Cash net USA is legal? Thanks for reading my post and hope I get alot of suggestions. Take care,

queen, I can not believe that manager was not in today! What the hell? Does he jump and hide when he sees you coming or what? Well, one good thing, as we stated, is that the pdl debits were reversed. Good. Now we just need to work on getting those bank charges off and getting that account closed. Good Lord. Maybe you should CALL first and see when the manager is going to be there. And for that assistant manager to give you a "speech", just goes right through me. You're having enough problems as it is, let alone having some STRANGER scold you for giving out your account information. Hello! He works at a bank! I'm sure he's seen this a million times! Oh, it burns me up! "Until you've walked in the other person's shoes......." That's what I always say. Preach all you want, baby, but until you've walked in my shoes, you don't know squat! Okay, we'll disregard his worthless self! Lord, just try to get the manager involved. Geesh. What you have to do! Now - as for MTE Financial and It's My Pay Day (National Opportunities), of course they want you to call them. They want to tell you that you owe them $10,000 on those $300 loans! Give me a break! When they called me, I faxed/emailed them and told them I will not corresponde over the telephone. I will only corresponde via email or USPS. If they have an issue, they can email you. I refuse to speak to these people. And they're payment options? How about only paying what you owe?? Lord, Lord, Lord. They'll tell you to Money Gram, Western Union, or use credit card or debit card. Bite me! If they want money, they will give you an address to send money to. However, I would also state in my email that you are aware that they are not licensed to lend in your state. They won't care, but I'd tell them anyway. MTE Financial will NOT work with you. They will lie, cheat, and steal some more. National Opportunities did agree upon my state law amount. I do have contact information (name and email) if you need that. I have just given up on MTE. I'm letting the DFI and AG handle those liers. They flat out lied to the BBB. National Opportunities didn't. And we did everything via email and they gave me a physical address to mail payment to (which is a totally different address I had ever seen). They use so many addresses to "hide", it's not even funny. So let me know if you respond to their emails. I'm going to bet MTE will give you their standard "form email" that we've all gotten. Ho Hum! National Opportunities will try to strong arm you, but in the end, they worked with me. Keep me posted!

Cannr -

Third party company called in behalf of national oppt. lady that called did not want to accept any payment arrangements so I told her that I was going to report them because my state does and i ask them for there license number in my state.

Oh my God, she hung up. 8)

Then a supervisor called me, real nice person and ask me the reason why I wanted payment arrangements to settle with the amount they given me 2 in to payments.
Oh sure I said, what is the settlements, for a 300 loan they want me to pay 560. Great deal I said, so
then I ask for the breakdwown. 300 Loan, 120 fee, 20 NSF, 120 fee because they put it in again and then another 20.

He said they dont need to follow what Florida state statues, so I said you got to if you sue me. He said I cannot stop the collection calls to continue and hung up.

How about those apples? I bet you he even works with
the company. National Opp has 5 branches of PDL he said. Sad.

Now in my email I have an email to send my payments to a PO Box in KS. Please send a money order in the amount you can and please call us if you have any questions.

Sure.

You go, honey! :D Awesome job! They gave you a PO Box now, huh? Well, well, well. Oh, do be sure and send them $600 for your $300 loan! LOL! Just curious who you talked to. Five different offices? Holy crap. The address I got as a response from my BBB complaint is
National Opportunities Unlimited, Inc.
42 Reads Way
New Castle, DE 19720
And the response came from:
Dana Chaney, Manager
1-800-243-0590 ext. 2160
Is Dana aware that they are not licensed to do business with residents in your state? LOL!
Queen, you are doing great! Keep us updated! Awesome!

queen, I had actually overpaid - but only shy of $50.00. So, I got a PIF/closed account out of the deal. I would have liked my overpayment back, but I was happy with the pdl off my butt!

Hey Cannr,

I just want to make sure what I'm doing. To report
these PDL companies are with the SG, BBB and who else?

We'll today I got my first PIF from Zip Cash. It was just too easy. None of my other PDL have called, got a nasty letter via email from Sonic again and they are sending me to collections, court and something else I dont recall. Oh well.

Another thing, the Branch Manager of my bank called and she was not helpful. Even though the bank closed my account those transaction where pending from the PDL and I need to pay the bank all the NSF fees immediately. I am going to take Anthony's advice and report them. I have listed all the times
I went to the bank and my two faxes which they received and responsed via phone.

This was my day today.

Can you PM me a copy of one of your letters to SG?

Thanks for your support, as always

I am in New Mexico. I don't have as many as Queen, but I have the same problems. I have 5 online loans (sagamore, sonic, magnum, cashnetusa, mycashtime)and 4 local (but national)(check into cash, the cash store, check n go and allied cash advance) loans.

Hello New Mexico! I am a fellow New Mexican but I am trapped in Ohio.....
could you please tell us how much you borrowed from the internet lenders, and how much you have paid back so far?

As far as the storefronts, they operate legally and follow the laws of your state so the best thing you can do is contact them about making payment arrangements. Here are the New Mexico payday laws:

find New Mexico state info here http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/explain-pdls-laws.html

As you can see, NM makes it really easy for these places to loan money there but if you can answer the questions above, we will help you deal with these places. :)
