Paycheck Today and BBB

This was my first BBB file on a PDL but I found it interesting that after I selected Paycheck Today as the company I was filing a complaint with, I was diverted to an online Paycheck Today complaint form. Is this the norm or are they just "special"?

What??? I have NEVER come across that and I've filed an awful lot of BBB complaints! You were on the BBB site and it "flipped over" to a complaint form for just that pdl? I swear, that sounds weird to me. But, I'm also a paranoid person. I know other people on this forum have a pdl with them. Maybe someone will come along that also went to the BBB. Maybe it's happened to them. That's not one I filed a complaint on, so I don't know. But I do know that I've never encountered that happening to me on the BBB site!

I was hesitant at first myself but after the filing was complete I was given the opportunity to copy and save my complaint and it appears legit. It was interesting that a lot of the questions were directly related to PDL activity. I'm sure keeping my fingers crossed, I filed against ARM also for their abusive approach with me last night. I think I'll go file some more BBB complaints and see if any other PDL's come up with their own form.

sass, I don't know about that because when I've filed complaints with the BBB, I looked first to see what kind of "rating" the company had. And, of course, many of them had "unsatisfactory" ratings. Surprised? No. They had tons of complaints, etc. Yet none of them popped up with a form for that particular company. However, like mperez said, it does sound legit since she was able to print out her complaint, and I'm sure will be able to pull it back up on line. That's just really, really weird. Unless - by chance - there might be some kind of investigation going on with this pdl??? Maybe? We can only hope.

I agree...I have filed BBB complaints on all 10 of mine..and never had that happen...as a matter of fact when I just filed again on my cash now because I got a new address for them...under the new address there were only 3 complaints..I know that can't be right..but I figured it's beacuse they move so much..maybe not too many of us had that address to use. I like the idea that there have been so many complaints they developed a form just for them...how special is that!!!LOL....

I'm like you, morningstarr. If I find a "new" address, I file another complaint. The way these guys move around so much, the BBB probably can't contact them. So I figure it doesn't hurt to file again with the "new" address. I filed US Fast Cash under one address, they responded, but now haven't heard from them again. But now I came across another address for them (Good Lord) so I'm going to file again with the "new" address. They don't stay in one place too long.

I'm wondering if it isn't necesarily a special complaint form for paycheck today, but just the format for that area's BBB . . . . I just went through the process for filing a complaint on them, and there were several different addresses to chose from - Each address would take you to a different BBB website. What address did you file against?

Found something interesting today. I went to the bbb site just to look up a company. And lo and behold, I was switched to like a totally different screen than I'm used to seeing! Seems as though it might just be the bbb that oversees the complaints. Because the majority of my bbb complaints have been with the bbb in nevada, delaware, etc. This one company I was just looking up happened to be handled by the bbb in NY or PA or somewhere. Somewhere I hadn't ever had to file with. So maybe it was just the bbb site's way of taking the complaint. Just wanted to let everyone know since it was such a mystery!

Here is the correct address below and the number to file a formal complaint is 1850-410-9712- State Attorney General Office for Florida. I was given this number: 850-410-9601 because apparently they are regulated by Financial Oversight Agency.

The owners are Gordon Gary and Charles Hallinan. You can go to sunbiz.org and search for the incorporation information. Don't be afraid to stand up because everyone face financial hardship and it does not negates being victimized by criminals in suits.

Three or four if memory serves me right were just variations of the above address. We'll see where this one goes!
