cash call is nuts!!!!

I pity anybody who gets a loan through cash call. I saw their advertisement last night on animal planet (they are not allowed to lend in WI,thank god) But I paused it( I have a DVR) so I could read the words that flash across the bottom of the screen. But it said that for a $2600 loan the apr would be 99.25% and the payments would be $212 and some change a month for 42 months  That is almost $9000 for a $2600 loan  :o  :o  How can those states that they are licensed in allow that? That is just plain nuts!!!! So I would STAY AWAY from them!!!!

Thanks Jenn, yep she's one of 3. She is my BIG baby she now weighs 22 pounds lol she's gonna be 3 at the end of the month. I also have a 15 year old buff and white and my son has a 5 month old kitten that looks just like her. I still want another dog but hubby says no, he told me that if anything else furry comes in the house, HE leaves lmao.

Yeah, they are backed by a couple banks. That makes them really dangerous because they are legally operating. It's almost impossible for people to get out from under these loans. People think it's an answer to their prayer that someone will finally lend them the money that they need, but they don't pay attention to the terms.

I think if you have a cash call loan, it's actually better to default on it and let them sue you (from a strictly financial view). Once they get a judgement the interest rate is set by the court, and it's much lower then the 99% you were paying . . . . Now this does mess with your credit, as you would have a judgement on your report, not to mention the fact that they may be able to garnish your paycheck, so it's not the best idea. But these loans are hell to deal with . . . . .

I work in the credit card industry/collections. This practice is industry wide. The credit card company will give 19% interest to a new card holder and then if a card mamber is late one time their interest rate goes to 30% all other credit cards are notified via credit bureau reporting industry. These other credit card companies now up their interest rate to 30% on their card that the person has. Even if the person has never been late with a payment to them. The banking, mortgage, credit card industry is a dirty business and should not be trusted.

I got screwed over with cash call. I just called them today hoping to make a payment arrangement. They said they can't because the date I wanted to make the arrangement for was too far away! So they are sending the payment to my closed account they'll get it back, charge me 15 for the return, then charge me another 15 for the late payment and when they start calling me, then I can make a payment arrangement because that will be closer to the end of the month. But I can't pay them because I have rent due, I'm already having lots of stuff shut off...

I'd rather get another loan with a better rate than pay these (insert curse word here) all that interest, but I've exploited all my other options and I can't get more debt. Short of selling body parts or something I just don't know what to do. I'd rather not wait for them to call and harass me especially if they start calling my work. Its too late now I'm already in it, and I knew what I was getting into which is the worse part! Any other advice?

Unfortunatly with this company there are no good options unless you have to money to pay them off. Have you tried prosper.com yet? I don't like to suggest taking out a loan to pay off another loan, but in this case you need to get out from under cashcall asap.

They will sue you if you get too far behind. The only good thing about that is once they get their judgement the interest rate is set at like 8% for Oregon.

So it would be better to let them sue me, although I'm not a fan. Because they will call and harrass won't they before they sue you? I just don't want to deal with that. I don't want to deal with any of it but it is a little too late for that.

I've already got a prosper loan too unfortunately. And I can't pay it off to get another one, and if I could I probably would have too bad of credit now. I've tried to get family members to get them for me (either they don't want to, or their credit is bad or non-existent).

Go to ripoffreports.com....see what everyone is doing to fight back.
They say cashcall does not show for court, or do they stop calling when you pay off or don't let you pay off. Threaten, come to your door, throw papers at your door don't serve them..

I wish someone would help us. More made at myself because I know better than to allow myself to be taken.

I would definitely leave Chapter 13 as a last resort. And filing on Ripoffreport.com may make YOU feel better, but trust me, CashCall could give a sh-t less about how many reports there are on Ripoffreport.com about them. They know they don't have anything to fear until the government comes after them and shuts them down - which won't happen as long as they are legally backed by a bank, which they are.

I absolutely despise companies like CashCall - they prey on the people who can LEAST afford their type of loan, and they know it. The are counting on your desperation to line their own dang pockets.
