5 loans and fading fast

i currently have 5 outstanding loans and cant keep them up any longer. i just changed jobs and actually had to stop payment on two of them because the money just wasnt there but i didnt know the money wasnt going to be there until after they were sent to the bank. previous employer playing games with last paycheck but that is another problem entirely. two of the others i had actually paid some on and worked out payment arrangements and one other outstanding that i wont be able to pay because of the whole changing jobs thing. i live in ohio and here is the list of companies-all storefront.

American Cash Exchange
Cashland
Checksmart
Advance America

i cant even remember the last one that is how bad it has been lately. any advice you can give me with these four would be greatly appreciated. because of these, i have 4 credit cards that are way behind, my mortgage is extremely late, both cars are way behind, utilities are close to being shut off, etc, etc, etc. i need help and have no idea what to do. thanks for any help you can recommend.

Welcome to the forum db! Although i don't know much about pdl's lots of others here do and will be of great help to u!
All i can advise u is to pay ur mortage FIRST! Make sure u pay ur necessities first then start dealing with these extras!
You may want to provide more info on each loan, amt borrowed, amt paid to date, and state ur from for more help!
Be patient someoen will be around soon with answers for ya.
Good Luck,
Ang

Hi!
it's going to be ok, I promise.
First of all, are those loans internet or storefront? Also, what state are you in? This is important to know, because it determines whether you should close your account and open a new one.

Call every one of your debts..Mortgage, credit cards, utilities, etc and make attempt to make some arrangements. If you communicate with them they'll be more willing to work with you.

Have you considered consolidation? A counselor will call you after the weekend..They can explain different options and companies. And..There are companies that work with payday loan places. Good luck and hang in there..we're here for you

Dbrigger, here at the payday loan laws for Ohio:

Please find Ohio state info here ..

Since these are store fronts loans, you will need to work out some payment arrangement that is feasible for you because the store fronts are legal in your state. I would still double-check though to see if they violated any of the laws that I posted above or not. I know we have had several members from Ohio who dealt with pdls...both internet and storefront, so I am sure some will come along and share their experiences with you. If you browse the forums, I remember that Leah is from Ohio and posted a lot of her experiences on here.
