Pay Day Loans and debt collectors

I, too, am dealing with the payday loan nightmare.I received the first call from United Pay Services in
Florida from a heavily accented female who lied and
said she was calling from the attorney general's
office in Florida and tried other intimidating
things. She said I owed $1000 on a $300 loan. I
told her that was a lie and I would not pay
anything over the agreed on $390 which would have
been paid long before it was due two weeks ago but
because I would not leave work and send the funds
to the company itself by 11:00 am even after I told
the young caller I would send the funds by 3:00 pm.
I am a wreck with all the harrassing phone calls
and I am in the process of sending DO NOT CALL
letters to each of these. I can only afford minimum
payments at this time and will indicate this in the
letters I plan to fax tomorrow.
