Need help getting a refund from WWC
Is it possible for you to get an attorney involved in this matte
Is it possible for you to get an attorney involved in this matter? I will have one if the refund amount is too big.
I have heard only a few companies actually doing the refunds unless you have a strong legal back up. Don????????t miss filing your complaints with the AG, FTC and the BBB. Keep in touch with them regarding your complaint. One day you will definitely see a surprise.

joshua, how much have you overpaid? And, I'm sure they're not licensed in your state. So, you're probably right in that respect that they're getting scared. However, if you've over paid a large amount, I would hound them to death for it. I don't like calling either. There's no documentation there. Do you have an email for them? Apparently you do have a fax number for them. Personally (and this is just me!) I would email (if possible) and also fax them. Just make sure to tell them to only contact you via email or USPS. But I would fax them if I had a number and I would definately email them if I had an email address.

I overpaid by about $500 over the course of several loans (had to do the whole pay off and renew jig for a while with them :(. I do have an email and a fax number for WWC.

Oh, honey! I'd be on them like you-know-what! Email them. Fax them. Don't call. That's just a waste of time and it's not documented. I would be emailing right this minute! LOL! $500 overpaid??? You need a refund! Hound the hell out of them. I usually send an email with a read receipt so I know they read the stupid thing, then I print out the email and I fax it. Do it a million times until they respond. That way you're not saying the same thing over and over. Just keep forwarding the email and faxing the printed out email. Okay. So I've been "banned" by some pdl's because I emailed so much - LOL! But,hey, I've got documentation and faxing the hell out of them won't hurt either. Go for it, joshua! You paid WAY over!
Ok, I will get on them them tomorrow with the fax, since I have
Ok, I will get on them them tomorrow with the fax, since I have to use the work one. I'll email them now!
Ok, I did it...I sent the email and fax! Argh, now I have to pay
Ok, I did it...I sent the email and fax! Argh, now I have to pay the waiting game again. I hope they aren't tardy hos with payback.
Luck
With any luck, they'll see you mean business and just go ahead and give you a refund so they're not dragged through the mud with a bunch of complaints being filed by you! I hope you told them to only contact you via email or USPS. Lord, you don't need them calling! I hate that! And if possible, email them Saturday & Sunday again (if you get no response) and since you won't have a fax machine over the weekend, forget that. But, come Monday, email and fax it again. Joshua, they'll get so tired of you - but maybe they'll refund you just to make you go away!!
Dang it, I forgot to mention the contact only through email or U
Dang it, I forgot to mention the contact only through email or USPS...gahh! Should I send another one right now, or should I give it until Monday??
joshua
joshua, just send them a totally different email (and then print and fax it to them) stating that they are not permitted to contact you via telephone at all. The only form of communication they may use is email or USPS so that you will have documentation of all correspondence. Just email it and fax it now. Then, come Monday - if no response - forward the emails again Monday and fax again Monday! Let the games begin!

joshua, your letter sounded good. Actually it sounded nice! Mine were a bit meaner! LOL! Mine basically stated that I revoked their privilidge of contacting me via telephone in any way including my work place, my home, or any other telephone number. The only means of communication is to be made via email or USPS so that I may have documentation of all correspondence. I then stated AGAIN - I will not communicate via telephone and will only communicate via email or USPS. So.......actually yours was nice! But, I'll have to say, I still get phone calls! LOL! I just don't answer them! Hey, can't they read????
Ok, some drama this morning. So a rep from WWC/Telmerica called
Ok, some drama this morning. So a rep from WWC/Telmerica called and said they received my newest complaint and forwarded that to the lawyers in the UK. So I don't know if that is good or bad. She wanted to know if I had received their email on Friday or not, but I stated I hadn't and requested her to send it again. So anyway, she sounded a little miffed because I wanted my account paid in full and now I am asking for a refund. She forwarded my first complaint to their lawyers, and she stated it would take even longer to resolve now that I sent a new request. Then she stated that I was never charged an interest rate on this loan...um, hello, so $89 is a refinance fee...but if you never had a written contract either, can you say that the $89 isn't an interest charge?! I am so tired of dealing with these places! :(
Ok, so she did respond to my request and sent it. Here is the em
Ok, so she did respond to my request and sent it. Here is the email from WWC:
Good Afternoon xxxxx:
I have received your complaint from the Better Business Bureau today. When I received your first complaint from the State of Wisconsin , the documentation was forwarded to our solicitors in the UK , since as you recall in the contract, your loan originated from the UK . Since your complaint is being handled in the UK , I do ask for your patience. I will contact the solicitors to see how long it will take them to process your complaint.
I think I got them irritated because I've filed with the BBB and DFI twice now and I resent them a fax and email this morning.
joshua
Oh, I'm laughing here! They're giving you the run around! Hopefully, though, they will act in a SMART way since they are in the UK. (Here we go again with the ones located in the UK!). With luck, and I have my fingers crossed for you, they'll go ahead and respond and issue you a refund seeing as how they shouldn't have been funding loans to begin with. At least they reponded to the BBB. That's a good sign. Hell, some of my pdl's never even responded to the BBB!
Well, they stopped debiting my account AFTER I had made payment
Well, they stopped debiting my account AFTER I had made payment arrangements to pay off the last loan because the last rep said I had to pay because they refused to apply the overpayments to my last loan. So if they said "No, can't do that" and then turn around and change their minds for my benefit, I'm hoping it will work again in my favor.
