Speedy Payday Loans Part 2

Now I know why they nicknamed me Bulldog at work. They used to kid me that once I got my teeth into something I wasn't about to let go...so I spent the evening surfing around UTAH - I went looking for payday loan companies and I found them! They let there license expire last year but now I have an address to add to my complaint form and maybe I will just have to call them again tomorrow and see what they have to say now - you can't be covered by UTAH payday laws when you aren't even licensed now can you?? I can't believe the thieves that are out there -

Sorry I haven't checked in before this - I've tried several ways to get you the info but I can't seem to paste anything. So...I'm going to try and attach a file that will give you what I found out in Utah. By the way I was able to get a Paid in Full from Speedy. Of course I had paid $1,440 on a $400 loan so they had gotten more than their fare share from me. I'm hoping someone will help me get some money back from them but I'm not holding my breath.

Sorry I can't get the attachment to work. Google the Utah Department of Commerce. Once there do a business entity search for Speedy Payday Loans. It will give you the info that the license expired and gives you an address too.

Good luck!

I haven't heard anything from the AG yet. I filed on line over 3 weeks ago and then emailed the AG online over a week ago. So last Friday I printed out the complaint form, filled it out as best I could and included a spreadsheet with all the PDL data I had (contact info, date of orginal loan, loan amount and paid amount). Today was quite on the collectors front so I'm going to give the AG until next week and then I'll fax an update and ask for some status if possible.

This is the letter that I have received from one of the payday loan companies so i responded back that i have paid the loan back and that I have reported them to the BBB and attorney generals office evern though I haven't heard back from them. I told them if they wanted I could get my lawyer involved.

Ahhh..... the old "form letter" that Quickest Cash Advance (aka MTE Financial) sends out. Lord, you would think they would devise a new letter. This one is getting very old. guest, you are not the first to receive this letter. God love them. Just please be aware they they are not licensed/legal in any state in the US.

(1-800-474-2995! ) I have been paying them for over a year now! I took out my loan last year in October. I tried to call and resolve this issue back in August of this year, only to find out that I hadn't even touched the $500 that I borrowed. I payed $300 in full and then was told that I only owed $200 more. Well, they have taken way over $200 since then. I called again to resolve the issue, but Joel, who is supposed to be handling my account, has yet to return my calls. Yet, they still keep taking my cash! It started at $120 a pay, now it is $60 a pay! I just left a message for Joel again. Any advice? I was going to contact FOX 29 and have them investigate this payday loan company.
