I just filed a compliant to them ...explained the whole IPDL mess and used as my example MTE. I also pleaded that I would totally understand if they could't help me but I thought it extremely important to get the word out to consumers as to what these IPDL's are all about.
I will update when I hear back from them.

Got to hear how the reporters own child was secretly caught in the pdl trap also and kept it from the family.

You are so right. I still don't want anyone at work to find out, I think that is why I am scared to death that they will call me at work. That is what gives them the control and we have to take that ALL away from them.

At teh bank I work at, if I EVER see that one of my customers has done a payday loan, internet or otherwise, I really rip into them. I tell them about my own experiences and that usually scares them pretty bad. I don't want them to feel more ashamed than they already are, but I really let them know about the risks and how EVIL they are. But, yeah, you'd be surprised at the wide range of demographics that actually use these things. People with nice things and professionals have bad credit, too.

You're right bflow. I don't want anyone to know either. I know when I actually took out the loans I called each of the companies and double checked that they wouldn't contact my references for the application. I'm still very afraid that someone will find out. I know that's not right, and I hope I get to a point that I can share more openly with others.

morningstarr, I'm glad to see that you took this action. That's a fighter! You go! I do so hope that they can do SOMETHING if nothing more than spread the word about these ipdl's. But, in your case, it might help you, too. Once an "investigation" gets started or whatever, the outcome might be great! I'm so glad you did that. It took guts and you had them! And using MTE as an "example". I love it! You picked the best one of all! Like I said - You go!!!
