In my opinion if a company hides its location even from the BBB as these people do they should not get paid. They are trying to force people into electronic payments only which is a violation of Federal Law. The BBB has them listed in Alden Il. with no address. They have requested info from NMS but NMS will not provide it. The good news is because the are a foreign entity operating from Costa Rica they have no ability to use US laws to enforce their collection tactics. I would just wait them out until they give you an address or they don't get paid. Also file a complaint with the Attorney General in Illinois against them and also with the FTC. There are several of these ghost companies that have been topics this week. If a company is legal they should not be hiding.

I haven't contacted National Money Store directly since I defaulted on my loan. Do I need to call these people just to get their address? I haven't received any collection calls, emails, or letters from NMS or their collection agency since I sent a sent a cease and desist letter and DV letter back in April.

IOf they won't give the BBB their address I doubt they will give it to you. How much did you borrow and how much have you paid so far.
I borrowed $350, and I paid back $350 in renewal fees.
