SHW contact info.
SHW Recovery is a finance recovery center - dba attorney services. They use tactics that are borderline illegal, but allowed. For eg. they will take debit card information from which ever lender, payday loan, etc. you have on file. Then they will attempt several withdrawals for the owed amount. Since its a debit, if the money isnt' there, it won't go into overdraft, it will simply deny the amount. However, they keep trying several different amounts until one hits. Then they justify it under the original loan account and company - which most likely you agreed to have some kind of "binding arbitrating agreement "- the fine print.
The best thing you can do is cancel your credit card or debit card info. Most banks will refund your money, BUT NOT deal with SHW - they will simply eat the cost. This is why SHW is so successful. Credit Unions however, require a police report to deal with SHW, and they do follow through. SHW understands all this, and understands that most people can't or won't fight it all the way through. Hence, they keep taking your money.
The only sure way that you can get your money back, is by filing a police report, but you will need to provide the written proof of the original amount owed (you can request this by calling your lender or payday loan company), and then the amount that SHW took from your account (most likely it is NOT what you originally agreed to). And if you already had 'payment' options, SHW deductions now become illegal only because the monthly amount you agreed to differs from SHWs.
If you choose to deal with SHW Recovery directly, they won't give you your money back. However, you can make future payment arrangements with them so they don't take large chunks out of your bank account. In the end, REQUEST EVERYTHING IN WRITING!! And let your bank know. FYI - in the future -ONLY get payday loans from CFSA certified companies, you'll save SHW type headaches. Good luck!
They are located out of Kansas City, Missouri.

great info, but i would send SHW Recovery a DV letter instead.they can't do a thing without valdating, and most if not all yhe lenders they attempt to collect on are illegal.so they either go away,or get sued for FDCPA violations.thanks for the address too.alot of people need that to get letters out.

I requested a DV letter from SHW Recovery in October, sent certified & I received signed card back. Haven't received DV yet and probably won't. So I won't be sending them ANY info. As far as I'm concerned, I did my part and I owe nothing!
