It is very difficult to deal with the collection agencies.
I am sure a professional help will be much needed in your case, can you please calculate your debt/income ratio to see the level of danger.

As you are probably aware by now, debt consolidation companies only deal with unsecured debt (your car is a secured debt). With only $3000 or so of unsecured debt, at collection agencies, your best bet is probably to try a debt consolidation company. Although some collection agencies will not work with us, many will, although they may want your debt paid in full in a shorter time period than would have been available if the debt was still with your original creditor. The volume that debt consolidation companies have, and the consistent monthly payment offered, is often the "ticket" that will get you started in the right direction.

I'm 21 years old, and owe a round about figure of $20,000. $17.000 of it is for a car that I dont really like. But anyway, I was wondering if anyone else here was a little eerie of giving your bank information and such. I really need help paying my debt{almost all of my credit cards are now in collection agencies  } but I'm apprehensive about signing on the "dotted line" so to speak. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
Well, have you thought about selling the car (that you don't like) and using that money to purchase a car of a lesser value? Then use that money to pay off your debts and clean up your credit. Then when you clean up your credit, you would be able to pay for the car that you really want. I suggest this because there is no need to get yourself in financial trouble for a big ticket item that you are unhappy with.
Also, you should get a lawyer to help you understand the fine print of the contract you are about to sign. Because you don't want to be surprised by any hidden fees/penalties. You need to make sure that you are 100 percent aware of what is in that contract because once you sign your name on that line, you enter an agreement that is enforceable by law.
