Not trying to flame but in reading this board I have seen the names and personal phone numbers of Collectors, Owners and Managers of collection agencies published on this sight.

Just curious would like a legit answer as a collector how would any of you feel if I started a sight publishing your names and phone numbers. You would hate it and yell about fdcpa. Two wrongs do not make a right how does publishing cell numbers help you improve your situation?

Well I guess maybe no one would have published them if these particular CA's weren't corrupt in the first place...ya think of that? Treat me like trash and I will treat ya the same, treat me with respect and you will get your money. Threatening me has never gotten an CA anywhere with me! And it never will. Esp. when we are finding out that some collection agencies only employ convicted felons! Like a convicted felon should know all my personal information!

Cajun, I agree with your point regarding if something is a matter of public record, then it's OK to publish here. But realistically, I have rarely seen where a home number is a matter of public record. I don't know if a phone number in a phone book would be considered public record--but even so, I have a problem with publicizing one here. A work phone is no problem and I say bring it on, if it's a matter of public record, but doing that to a home number I feel crosses the line. Just my two cents....
