Emerald Marketing sending me idle threats

So is anyone still being bothered by Emerald? Keith Czarnecki keeps emailing me idle threats. See as follows:

Quote:
Your file has been forwarded to the Finalization Department.
This decision was made due to your continued failure to meet your
contractual obligation.

You have an important decision to make: honor your contractual
obligation and receive significant positive benefits from satisfying the
debt
or continue not honoring your contractual obligation and face the
possibility of
negative consequences.

The negative consequences are determined by the terms and
conditions of your contract, the applicable laws in your state, and our
willingness
to incur additional costs and expenses (which may in turn be passed on to
you!).

Clearly we would prefer to work with you than against you, however, the
decision to proceed
with further collection activity is determined by you and your willingness
to honor your
commitment.

Which would you prefer the positive benefits or negative consequences?
The choice is yours!

This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be
used for that purpose

Note: If payment of the balance has already been made or you have recently
discussed
arrangments in the past 48 hrs, please disregard this notice.

I honestly only remember them from attacking my bank account around the same time GFSIL did. I dont even think I had a loan with Emerald. Is is possible GFSIL sold my information? Is this a company that does "verbal contracts" or is there some form of paper?

I just checked that email account today for the first time in months(had to get a new one beacuse of all the spam from PDL's). I wrote him back asking for a copy of the contract and how much I have paid so far. No reply as of yet but I have a feeling he will write back.

Has anyone been through this with Emerald before? What happens after the "Finalization Department" email? Thanks for your help.

I will also be posting information regarding GFSIL shortly if anyone is interested.

Strange, I had a call from a Randy Johnson that said he was from Orange County and have documents that he must serve me and would like to know if I would be home on 7/30/09. He also has Documents for two of my references that he needs to serve. And ask me to take down EME phone number and gave me a docket number to call. He wanted to verify my address before he took a flight to my area. I thought this was the strangest thing I've ever heard. Why would you call if your serving papers to someone? And why the hell would you serve two references?

I'm getting the same threats as other people here.. They are threatening me for internet fraud and "bad checks" just because they deposited $200 in my account and my bank account was closed by the banking institution.. It was out of my control that they closed my account but they're saying I've committed fraud and that I have a judgement out, and if I don't pay a settlement, they will garnish my wages. However I live in NJ where payday loans are illegal. Will my wages be garnished by this company?

to garnish they would need a court order.to obtain that they would have to sue and win.i doubt they can do that.however they can try tp submit a WAGE ASSIGNMENT.that is totally voluntary and revocable.if you haven't yet get a WAGE ASSIGNMENT REVOCATION letter to your HR or payroll person.

Those email some of you received are highly unprofessional, and is almost always against any company's code of ethics. Definitely keep copies.

I received a call from Stephanie from Emerald Marketing today regarding a bad check. I closed my account, and sent them a letter withdrawing the ach authorization. I'm waiting for her to respond to the email I sent her. As soon as they start the threats and send me unprofessional and harrassing correspondence, I will be getting in touch with the necessary people. I offered to make payments. I just need a reasonable schedule. I'm in the payday loan mess as well. I can't wait until I'm finally out of it.

Don't worry about it, Emerald Marketing is just trying to scare you into paying them back. They had their so called lawyer leave me a message on my phone about a judgement filed against me (I live in Maryland). That happened March of last year and no judgement was filed and I have not heard from them since. If you ignore them long enough they will disappear and unfortunately move on to someone else. I believe they charged off my account and moved on.

I have a loan with them. However, I had to wind up closing my account before I made my first extension payment. I've gotten one threatening email so so far. My son is in some legal trouble so I'll need every penny I have. I want to work out a payment arrangement with them. I told them I can't pay it all at once however. I just don't want to be harrassed constantly. The email I received today was sent in a manner where it can't be copied or forwarded. I don't get it.

Same here. I can't pay my loan all at once. We'll have to work out a payment schedule that's reasonable.

I should of been signed in when I posted the above quote:

I received a call on a Sunday 09/06/09, from Mr Johnson again. This particular call, he says he was around the corner from my home. (LOL) to serve me and my references papers. I asked him if he bought his appetite? I was in the middle of a BBQ with family and friends and I had plenty of food to go around. And it will be refreshing change if he would be able to go over my document paper work with one of my guest that is an attorney.

I have been telling this company that I've never taking out a loan and they have failed to provide me with paperwork, they only would give me a docket number. He said that I need to call Emerald Marketing for further details of my account, and make arrangements for payment. I said why would I need to call or make arrangements when you are here to serve me a court order for garnishment of my wages? He then got upset and said he was not able to find my home. And had other things to do, and I will be hearing from his company in a few hours. He never showed! I never got a called.

thank you all for your input. I recently took out a pay day loan with this company and became suspicious when I couldnt reach them via the phone number they provided me. So i started searching through the web and was shocked at what i found. I then went to the better business bureau which confirmed my fears. I asked my bank to put a stop payment on any and all ach withdrawals from that company and filed a complaint with the BBB. The only website listed for this company is on facebook! Avoid this company at all cost.

PDL's are apparently prohibited in NJ, yet I get calls every once in awhile that i have a judgement against me in my state. I bet they are a scam company that lost money from non-payment, now they're desperate to get their money. It just can't be legal to make threatening phone calls (not just when they reach the person, but even on voicemail messages), and act totally unprofessional whenever you talk to someone on the phone. All they do is treat you condescendingly, threaten you some more and argue with you. The few times I've talked to someone, they've had such a bad attitude that it always ended in arguments. I've never dealt with a collections agent as bad as this.

I am also getting the same threats. Also stating that I owe them a ridiculous amount of $! I am willing to pay what is owed but not anything more. They harrass me & use fraud against me & also wage garnishment.. I know these complaints were a few years back & i am just wondering if any of you have ever been sued/punished by this company? I am unsure of what I should do... Thanks

I just could not deal talking to them again because they are so nasty, and extremely agressive.

Any comments? Right now I've got a phone call into my payroll department to see if they are going to garnish my wages. If they do, I'm in deep trouble then. This will not be a good scenario.

They said that they could take 51 percent of my income. Not so in California. They need to be put out of business.

They are more like loan sharks or the mafiia than a loan company. : (

Same with me. I tried to make a money gram payment to them last week, and the database said their information didn't exist. I emailed them informing them of the glitch, and they never emailed me back.

This company called my house for my son who no longer lives here. I told them to remove my number from their contacts and they refused saying it was part of the legal contract. I am not part of that contract, I am a "third person" and should never have been told about the debt. I explained by them calling me, after I asked to be removed, they were harrassing a person not part of the contract. After reading all of the blogs, I believe there is some very serious collection practices here.

they most likely mean a wage assignment.that doesn't need a court order, but can be revoked.give your HR or payroll person a WAGE ASSIGNMENT REVOCATION letter.you can find a template in the DYI section on top.then they can't do a thing except call, and illegaly threaten stuff they can't do.

As an ex employee I can assure you they have no intention of any legal action. Nor have they ever taken legal action before. They are a scam and if you were smart you would have a recorder ready to record call and sue them. Im pretty sure they operate with out business license in most states.

Truth is anyone who received a loan from emerald marketing LLC or shamrock marketing LLC has been given a illegal loan! They r not licensed out of any state but Nevada. You could have a lawsuit for criminal usery!
