Removal of credit report items
Just finished printing 2 of 3 credit reports. Last one I wasn't able to start, because computer decided it was going to shut down browser because of unknown problem.
Anyway.........
How long do items remain on a credit report?
For the state of Colorado, if that's of any help.
Can any item beyond the SOL be removed from report, at my request??
What stays and what is removed?? Good info, bad info??
Have a few things that I may want to dispute in the near
future.
As always, any/all information is greatly appreciated.

You have asked a really tough question as it depends on many factors, like bankruptcy will remain for almost 10 years, student debt remains for a longer period, in most of the cases it remains for 5 to 7 years.

Was asking more about things such as credit cards, store credit
Was asking more about things such as credit cards, store credit cards(Best Buy, Radio Shack etc..), bank accounts.
From inquiring about filing bankrupt in the recent past, I'm aware that something like that stays on record for a LONG time!

Welcome to the forums. If the accounts that you mentioned have not been paid in full and are shown in your credit report in a negative way, then it will hurt your credit ratings.
These types of negative information remain in the credit report for a period of 7 years.
If a debt is beyond the SOL period, then it will stay in your report for 7 years. After that period, it will be automatically report from your file.
In between, if you wish to dispute on any particular debt, then you can send your written explanation to the credit bureau with all the paper proof. The bureau will conduct an investigation with your information providers and if your dispute is found legitimate, then they will update your credit report and send you a free copy of it within 30 days.
