Can they direct deposit my check into husbands account

dBaker- In my state you can. My mom has me on her checking and savings account-not as the primary-but on it. I can take money out,deposit,etc. Call your bank and make sure you can, but you can here..Karen :D

Bossy, I know you said you can withdraw money from the account you're on with your mom. My husband just has a passbook savings account, so not sure how that would work.

You would have to be added on to the account in order to withdraw.

They shouldn't. Being an existing account, they probably will not run any check on you.

When I tried to add my husband on to my account, they ran him through chex systems. He couldn't be added on to my account since he was in the system.

dBaker, if he adds your name to the account, you can withdraw or deposit money-it's your account too! My mom added me, and I can withdraw or deposit,don't know about 2 passbooks, we just use one, but don't know why you can't get one too,or at least a check book register, where you can keep track of the balance,etc..Karen

I was with Commercial Savings Bank in Ohio. I was pretty mad. We went like 2 years with just an account in my name only.
