Hi Shirley,
It's wonderful to see you back again :D
The same fdcpa rule applies to the creditors as well. You can send them a written notice requesting to stop calling you until the debt has been legally validated and before you start making payments. Endless calls will result in violation of the said law and enable legal action.
You know the rules. They are still the same. Certified mail with return receipt requested.
Hope to see you quite often. :D

hmm dealing with original creditor
Hi Shirley,
Dealing with original creditor is comparatively much easier than dealing with collection agency. One golden rule, do not talk to too many customer care people , talk to one person, take his name, next time someone calls up ask for the same person and explain the situation to the person.
If they go beyond control threaten them for not following the fdcpa, also negotiate for a better plan.
As I said just talk to one guy and also keep a Xerox of all written communication.
Need any other help, just let me know.
