My husband and i saw it on his credit report in feb 2009 but not back in oct 2008, the debt is from 2007 i guess. it is also a t-mobile account. we finally contacted to BETTER BUISNESS BUREAU for assistance. we are worried it is fraud or incorrect information and since we cant contact them we aren't paying it! I encourage others to write a complaint as well. I has 9 different SAM Companies listed!!!!

A Ms Weaver claims a 5 year old account from T-Moble has an outstanding balance of about $100. My Mother has never had a cell phone. Ms Weaver's phone is 1-800-895-2090. this number does work, as I called it back and Ms Weaver answered the phone. However the number that shows on the CID was 678-229-5198. When I call that number I get no ring nor an answer.

With everything I have found onthis site, I will be sending a letter to the BBB and T-Moble and Superior Asset Management.

The agent I talked to said they've had a lot of offices close, so that's why its been a lot of trouble to get in touch with them. Not sure why their GA office doesn't pull up on any search.

i have just been contacted by superior asset mgmt and they used the number that the person said didn't work in the first post. i called it back to discuss my acct. they called me at work to discuss it originally. they also said they have been trying to contact for quit some time, and this was the first time i had heard of them. the man i talked to today was very rude and didn't really want to tell me about how the company worked at all. he said my balance was so far past due with t-mobile that they are going to have to involuntarily collect on that amount. i called today to ask the man ecsactly what that meant. how would the company involuntarily collect on the amount. the man wouldn't tell me, and just got his feathers kind of ruffled with me even after reasureing him that i wasing hostile, nor was i going to get irassional. i had just called because i had some questions about the company, alot of questions they wouldn't awnser for me. i just wish they would tell me more.

I highly recommend anyone trying to reach them do so by writing. Their customer service rep. are extremely rude and push you to pay them immediately on the phone. The truth is he cannot even provide me the details of debt. Besides, what kind of companies only accepts payment over the phone?
I'm not sure how this company operates, but do try your best to reach someone else before contacting them. AVOID!

This collection agency picked up this old T-mobile account I had opened back in 2005! The T mobile account was included in my dicharged BK that was final in 2007. It is now 2010 of course and I started receiving letters and when I call them they tell me I need to contact my attorney who handled the BK in order for their company to remove their report of off my credit report. I could not beleive the unprofessionalness of this colection agency!! How is my attorney from 2007 going to have anything to do with removing with what this company is reporting on my credit in 2010 and reporting that the acct was opened 2009?? On top of that they interupt me and shout and overtalk me as I try to talk resonable with them. Low Low Class people and very low class vocabulary!!I ask them for a supervisor, they tell me they do not have one, then they do but she is not there and they don't know her name or her hours she works... I pull this company up on google.com and the complaints from other "vicims" are miles long! I hope the feds get involved fine them, and shut this business down! isn't this against the law to try and collect on a debt that was discharged on a BK?

I had Superior asset Management call me Saturday. They were very rude! This man would not let me get a word in. They wanted me to pay a debt that I owed to tmobile for $600+ dollars. I remember having a tmobile account in my name years ago aand I probably do owe them for cancellation fees if anything. When the representative called me, I was ready to pay off the account because I am trying to clear all negativity from my credit report. The guy that called me made me so mad that I hung up on him. I called back to speak with someone else. Then she made me mad and I called in to speak with yet another person. He hung up on me! The last attempt I made, I ended up speaking with a young lady that was cool calm and collected. She seemed to understand what I was going through. I ended up settling the account with her @ 50%. She took my bankcard # and the call ended with me thinking that I paid the bill. Well Monday morning(today), I get a call from Bill again. He called me once again very rude. I hung up on him. I called back and spoke with Gerald who tried to act like he was concerned but really wasnt. He kept putting me on speakerphone or something. I told him that I already settled the account on Saturday but he said that there was no record of that. I did not give them my card # again because I was afraid that they would try to charge my account again. Someone needs to do something about them. All of the reps kept trying to get me to update account information but I refused to do so because if I am paying off this account then no updated information is necessary. I am so sure that they are violating the FDCPA in more than one area! I am not dealing with them anymore. This has been on my credit for at least 2 years without me paying it so that is where it is going to stay!

Dispute it on your credit report as included in Bankruptcy, that's what I had to do on some of my accounts when we did bankruptcy.

I have had many issues with this company also. I finally did get ahold of there manager whos name is Tom Smith. The phone number at which I reached him was 800-895-3116. It will put you on hold for a little bit but if you are patient they will eventually answer. It's the best I got. Hope it helps.

Don't feel discouraged, friends. This topic trails all the way back to 2005; likely before.
Your best mode of action, starting from step 1:
Step 1) Strike a letter and send it to SAM with certified mail, with a return receipt requested. In the letter, request documents that substantiate your responsibility to pay, such a contract with your signature or copy(ies) of photo IDs. Or, use this template and edit where appropriate:
DISPUTING WITH THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR

Date

Your Name

Name and Address
of original creditor

Re: Acct # 000-000-000-000

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is regarding account # 000-000-000-000, which you claim I owe. This is not a refusal to pay, but a notice that your claim is disputed.

I am requesting validation, made pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Please note that I am requesting "validation"; that is competent evidence bearing my signature, showing that I have some contractual obligation to pay you.

Please also be aware that any negative mark found on my credit reports from your company or any company that you represent for a debt that I don't owe is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act; therefore if you cannot validate the debt, you must request that all credit reporting agencies delete the entry.

Pending the outcome of my investigation of any evidence that you submit, you are instructed to take no action that could be detrimental to any of my credit reports.

If you no longer own this debt, remove the derogatory marks from my credit report per the FCRA. Failure to respond within 30 days of receipt of this certified letter will result in legal action against your company. I will be seeking a minimum of $5,000 in damages for:
1. Defamation
2. Negligent Enablement of Identity Fraud
3. Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act

For the purposes of 15 USC 1692 et seq., this Notice has the same effect as a dispute to the validity of the alleged debt and a dispute to the validity of your claims. This Notice is an attempt to correct your records, and any information received from you will be collected as evidence should any further action be necessary. This is a request for information only, and is not a statement, election, or waiver of status.

Best regards,

(insert your name)

These people have been calling since day 1 of us having our house phone. If I had any debt they'd be calling my cell since I've had a cell for years and just recently got a house phone. BTW, we're on the do not call list. When my husband answered they asked him to call some number, when he did they asked for some lady that's not us and he told them if they call back he'll be filing harassment charges. Which I guess we need to do since they still call daily. We have no claims owed, I check our credit reports monthly, especially because we pay to be able to check it monthly. The only debt we have is a couple student loans and a car loan, which are all being paid on time and up to date and we have never missed.

BTW, neither of us have ever had T-mobile, I've always had cingular (AT&T) since 2004. Before that I never had a cell phone. This is a scam.

I got so sick of it I finally just put them on call blocking that my phone company provides to us.

There are many, very crude, people there. But they have computers that may contain whatever information you may be asking for. Let me say this, Contact your Congressional representative if you don't have a debt that this company is trying to collect. You won't get anywhere talking to them, writing them, or hiring a lawyer to talk to them. It will take an act of Congress.
