I only have an the 800-587-5714 phone number and no address. SAM keeps calling my cell number, looking for another party. I have made numerous requests to stop these calls - with no success. The last time they called, when I asked for an address - they hung up on me! If anyone can provide a mailing address, MANY THANKS!!!

The person that I spoke to was not really rude, just not to accommodating. Said they were working for the Office of Jamie Roberts, which is a consultant for Bay Area Credit. They will only accept payment over the phone or via moneygram. When i asked for an address, they suggested that I google Bay Area Credit. They were apparently collecting for First Premier Visa at an amount twice of what I originally owed. When I asked for validation, I was told that they were unable to comply because I lacked credibility with the original creditor. I almost laughed in his face --- what a joke.

Please help. SAM keeps calling my house leaving a recorded message to call them. I did it was for mynephew. I told them he doesn't live here anymore. When I told them he lives in another state and doesn't have a phone the women got mean with me and asked for his address. I refused to give it to her she said she would just keep calling. My nephew went throught debt consolodation and paid it almost all off when the original company pulled out with 6 months to go. Now he gets calls all the time what can we do

If you contact your state attorney general's office, there should be a consumer protection division that regulates collection practices within your state. Most of the time, these companies are to cease calling when they find out the person they are looking for is not at the phone number they are calling. If they continue to do so, they are violating state laws and the attorney general's office is kind enough to inform them of such. Meanwhile, everything is documented so if collection attempts resume, it's a double whammy. Good luck.

I have been receiving phone calls asking for a person that I have never heard of. I have informed this company that they have the wrong number, but they still call. It is driving me nuts. Any suggestions?

Superior Asset Management is also operating out of Atlanta, Ga. They keep telling me that I owe an outstanding electric bill in Atlantic City, NJ which is not even my debt. I have told them this on the phone and no one listens. I was told that I was an ignorant ****. I consulted my attorney and sent a cease and desist certified letter with return receipt and it was signed for. They still keep calling me. I called them back last night and they told me they received nothing from me. The lady started screaming at me and hung up. I am having my attorney start lawsuit proceedings against them. They have harassed me to no end for something that is not mine.

If you have any problems, just call the lovely "Ms. Chew" at 1-800-587-4714. The number works and goes directly to Ms. Chew as of 8-11-07 AM.

It might be "Ms. Chu", but this woman is very clearly of African American persuasion. It was an odd call.

I could not even get a mailing address out of these scumbags. I was advised, however, to check with the US Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services by the ever-so-helpful Clearwater, FL Police. The lady who called me back from CPD informed me that "it was probably a legitimate claim." Puh-leeze. She would not tell me about any other complaints given to the CPD regarding this scumpany.

And to think that Bank of America (which is who Chew said held the original debt) would ever let their collections get auctioned so far down the road to such a suspect operation! What a shame!

I firmly believe that SAM are (knowing?) recipients of faulty debt information. How do you go to work for a company like that every day, defrauding honest folks of everyday means? Maybe the "employees" are all in on it?

After repeated requests to speak to a supervisior, I finally spoke to a Ms. Dunn and got nowhere about an employee calling me names. I contacted the FCC (Federal Communications Commision) and was forwarded to the FTC (Federal Trade Commision).

The FTC rep said that I needed to send SAM (Superior Asset Management) a Cease Communications Letter. They informed me that I would be contacted one more time by SAM to acknowledge the letter.

I found a sample letter.

My mother has been getting weekly calls from someone named Pat Barns at 1-800-895-2989 insisting that my father (who passed away in '03) has an outstanding T-1 Mobile bill. My father never worked with T-1 Mobile.

We have nothing in writing from them, but they keep saying that they will turn this over to a collection agency if she doesn't call to 'settle' the charge.

Is this a farce? Why is there no paper trail? What can my mother do to make this 'go away'? Should she contact the police, the BBB or some other agency? (she has just ordered her credit report to see if there is anything on her credit; I'm not sure if there could be anything on my father's credit report if he is no longer alive).

Superior asset management operates under SEVERAL names, LandsGate Credit, Superior Asset Management, Bay Area Credit and MANY More. I have learned that they sell accounts to each other, therefor keeping the account and reporting the same debt multiple times on ones cedit. AND for differnt amount, one Major credit compnay i spoke with stated that they can alter the amount owed to show collection fees. how is this legal?! I owed sprint 65 dollars and now because of SAM i show 4 things on my credit one for the origional 65, one for 165, and two for 235 dollars, all for the same debt of 65. what do i do?

okay so superior asset managment has taken control of a debt that i had with t-mobile. It all started back in the very begining of 2004 when my army unit was mobilized to go overseas for the war. before we left i looked into getting a cellphone to communicate back home. I called t-mobile and asked them about their service and told them i was looking for a telephone plan because i was going over seas. the person i spoke to informed me that as a mobile to mobile customer, i could make calls to any t-mobile cell phone and they would be free. this was exactly what i was looking for so i signed up and got my phones. i shipped to kuwait in feb. 04. began using the phone as soon as i got it. the entire time i was overseas i used the phone daily, my battle buddies used it to call home, it was great. i paid my bill on time every month with no problems even if i went way over my mins. well i came home from my deployment and like 2 months later got a bill from t-mobile for $11,136.36 for international roaming for the entire time i was gone!!! now my dispute is that i had NO idea that i was roaming because i was calling mobile to mobile, and that i wasnt billed for roaming until after i came home from deployment. the roaming should have shown up on my bill every month that i was using the phone, and that first month that i got a thousand dollar bill, i woulda realized they lied and said hell no and got rid of the phone. t-mobile was no help with the issue, they wouldnt take responsibilty for misinforming me, and said they wanted their money in a month or it was going for collections, which is how it has now gone to SAM. it is now on my credit report and i was turned down for a car loan because of it. i want to know what my rights are and how to get them to take it off my credit and not fault me for the charges. any idot would have gotten that first months international roaming bill and said to hell with this. so why is it my fault that they didnt bill me correctly for the entire time i was gone. this was the first cellphone i ever had and didnt really know much about them, i really feel like i have been wronged and are seriously screwing me over. please lend any advice you got.

This is more than a span caller (800-587-5714). It called into my pre-paid cell phone. I think this company owes me more than 10 dollars now because every recording cost me 1 minute air-time. I reserve the right to bill it, and I am sure I can find who it is. What's better, I added my phone numbers to national donot-call list (donotcall.gov).

I've been fighting with T-Mobile & SAM for years.
I am tired of dealing with the representatives
@ 1-800-895-2989. They FLAT OUT LIE. They have the combined IQ of a melting ice cube. I'm requesting T-Mobile to recall this acct. and hopefully straighten it out with them. It is difficult to have a cranium involved, intelligent conversation with them too.
GOOD LUCK

Yes, I am waiting for the written confirmation they said they would send. She said 10 BUSINESS days, so it should be here the end of this week.

the settlement amount was the first 2 months of interest charges and service fees, and the amount of the original debt (something like 10 cents) It kind of chaps my a** that I had to pay almost 200 bucks for an over site on my payoff amount because the CC company didnt have the courtesy to call me, but im glad to be done with it.

Just another reason to NOT deal with any credit cards. if there is any way they can burn you legally, or in a legal "grey area" they can and will do it. No more for me, if I cant buy it with cash or a loan (car, truck, etc) then I don't need it.

what if we kept calling them back at the 800-895-2989 number? Doesn't that cost them money - the owner of the 800 number pays for every incoming call. I get a recording saying that this is a debt collection call, wait for the next available operator, then nothing. The name left on the message is the prior owner of the phone number I've gotten from the phone company. What a pain!

I've been trying to get a validation letter from them for a while, of course they refuse. Last time I called they said am I refusing to pay I said no, so the person on the phone told me that by me not making a payment I am refusing to pay and hung up on me. I just want validation and an account number to send a payment in to pay a bill I feel I owe. I mean all this for $143. I did call them back and got on the phone with someone and as soon as they answered, I said repeat your name please because I am recording this conversation for my protection and they hung up on me. I did this a few more times and they all hang up on me. I won't record them without them knowing since it is against the law to record a phone conversation without a wire tap order or the persons consent. What do they have to be afraid of? They say they record our conversations, why can't I record them? I just want a validation so I can send a money order to them, even though they say they can't accept it, let them refuse it and take me to court.

I cant reach Superior Asset Management. I cant find their phone number anywhere on the net. All the ones I find are disconnected. The ones that are listed on my credit report don't work either. How long do you think it will take them to respond to my mail? It's $387 and I want to settle for lower. I just freaking out cuz i need them to remove an unpaid item so I can get financial aid for grad school. Does anyone have a working number for Superior Asset Management in Clearwater Florida?

I have been recieving calls from Superior Asset Mgmt for 2.5 years now. They are not calling for me but obviously someone who used to have my number or someone who gave my number. They ask for the same person everytime they call. I started getting the calls when I moved and got a new number. I recieve at least one call a week, sometimes more. I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling as the person they are looking for is not at my number. Does anyone know of any action that I can take against them to get them to stop calling my number. I have finally had enough. Thanks
