The universe hates me!
We received a letter from our bankruptcy lawyer's secretary that he passed away suddenly in his home last week.
The letter states that payment for services not completed will be returned when the estate is settled. It also states that we can pick up our file or have it transferred to another attorney.
We are going to contact the office Monday morning to determine the status of our payment, etc., but wondered if anyone had any info on what effect this would have on our bankruptcy. Our creditor meeting is scheduled for May 3rd.
Any information would be appreciated.
