Crown Lending Payday loan info

I could not find anything on them. Chances are, if they can not be found on the web, they are not ligitimate. Be cautious.

i had a threatening phone call from a collection company calling on behalf o crown Lending saying that they were going
to garnish my wages that they were tried of waiting for me to pay. I tried to eplain taht I could not give them anything this month.,the gril got nasty and started threats. Is this legal.

i got the same call saying that they was going to sue but if i paid 600 then i would have to go to court is this legal because i never gpt a letter or anything

Just to confirm, there are 3 numbers they are calling from, they are Verizon land lines, 646-918-5119, 646-918-5130 in New York, NY and 360-350-1994 Olympia, WA. Whomever these people are, and no they don't speak English well unless its profanity, they seem to know this very well.This is a scam, they called a place of employment and made physical threats to the person that answered the phone in MO when trying to get in touch with the person that they have the personal information on. They proceeded to give all this personal information to the person who answered the phone. This of course has been turned over to the MO Attorney General's office for handling and a police report being filed since they are making threats of physical harm. It appears that this is a case where people's personal information has been bought by these Bozos. Hopefully a quick arrest will ensue.

My mother received an unintelligible message today on her answering machine, which led her to to believe I was either being taken to jain or being sued for tens of thousands of dollars. The number was blocked as "private" on her caller id and the return number was 646-918-5119. This stemmed from a pay day loan I had taken out over 2 years ago and had paid back promptly. When I returned the call, a man of obvious Indian dialect started reading off a script, 70% of which I couldn't understand. The jist of it though was that I was being accused of defaulting on the title loan. They had all my vital information correct, including my bank account number. When I would try to interject a question, he would completely ignore it and run on with his script. At the end of his tirade he said, "We are doing this to you to hold you up as an example for other people who don't pay their debts". I was told my "information was being downloaded" and that I could expect a case to be filed in court first thing on Monday morning (it's Friday). Solution? Knowing I did NOT default on this loan and paid it in full, I am going tomorrow to change my bank account numbers. I'm also filing a complaint with my Attorney Generals office. These people freaked me out last week. They are horrible; I???ve saved every shouting message they???ve left threatening to take me to jail and ???ruin me???.

I started getting calls from Eric Johnson, Kevin Johnson and David Cooper calling from some Legal Dept in behalf of Crown Lending. It was about an alleged payday loan from Dec 2007; they have my bank acct number, SS#, email address, etc. I checked my bank statements and there was nothing anywhere around Dec 2007.
They make sure you don???t have an address to send them anything and when you request proof of the debt they will either agree to sending it OR they will tell you they can???t give it to you until you pay the debt.
I filed a complaint with Federal Trade Commission; called state attorney generals office, consumer protection dept; posted info on sites where I???ve seen these scams reported. I have found no evidence that anyone has been able to get to them because they are not in the United States so there is nothing that can be done.

I also have been contacted by a Robert Wood trying to collect for Crown Lending. He is claiming I owe $950 from a loan I received from this company back in 2006. I asked for his address & company name and he would not give it to me. I also asked for the phone # & address of Crown Lending and he would not give it to me. I also asked him to mail me some documentation on the so called LOAN and he said he does not use the mail. Only Internet. I asked him to e-mail me my signed documents of the LOAN and he wouldn't. I have reported this to the New Jersey OAC. That is where the phone number he told me to call him back on was from. That number is 201-477-1459. He has also left messages with my boss at work and the HR department. I told him I am disputing his claim and to cease and desist and quit calling my work. He didn't listen to me at all. He still is calling. I don't know if I will ever get him to quit calling, but I am proceeding to file a claim on him for harassment. Don't give out any information to this person claiming he is an officer of United Federal Investigation or crime protection. It is not a real place.
