Corporate Receivables calling me to hell - how can I stop them?
Any ideas are much appreciated,
CRInc
I had calls from the Mary Shaw and they are the rudest group of people I've ever spoken to. I just realized I'm making these payments to these people and I'm not getting ANY type of balance information via the mail at all. How do I know my money is being rec'd? I have submitted a request of my payment history and balance owed today. I'm curious to find out just what I owe on a Menards card I had sooooooo many years ago that I'm still paying some kind of balance on. They do make it sound like they're going to send thugs and break your legs off at the knees!!! I'm not paying another cent till they furnish me with my account information.
same problem
I have been harassed by Derek miller. I didn't know that i could tell him to only contact me in writing. I called and asked for the contact info of the person he speaks with at HSBC. and the barated me over the phone. i was so mad i was in tears. my mom a perilegal and my mom-in-law both said i needed to send a letter of no contact and that Derrek Miller needs to send my verification of my debt before i send them anymore money. do not send this company any money unless you get your account info. Derrek Miller is the jerk i'm dealing with so if you have any info on him let me know. I was making payments to CR and one of my payments can back. Derrick noticified my of this and I remade my payment within 48hrs via moneygram. HSBC told me that if they could they would still take the payments but it's now up to the collection agent. Derreck told me that HSBC was refusing to take any more payments. i am so going to bust his balls

Another victim of this company here. I was contacted by "John Fox" today and needless to say, it was not pleasant. I thank everyone who gave all the helpful suggestions of action here, and hope to get my debt resolved in a civilized manner instead of through constant yelling, character judgement (ironic coming from these people), and general harassment.

that 5ame stupid pric called my house looking for someone else and was a total a-hole! he was ignorent to my 4 year old and saying all kinds of ignorent shit to me like im the person in collections! I reported him and changed my phone number...I also called him back and harrassed him to see how he liked it!
Sadly, I was called by this company today by a Steven Williams.
Sadly, I was called by this company today by a Steven Williams.
I was an authorized user on an account through HSBC with my mother, and my mother has now chosen to default on all of her bills. I have tried several times to get information out of HSBC on this account, and have been denied any and all information on this account because I am not the main account holder.
Today, Corporate Recievables called me today, attempting to collect on the $1984 debt. I explained to them what HSBC has repeatedly told me about not being the main account holder, and that I'm questioning how I can be legally responsible for an account that I cannot access. I was repeatedly told that I am the cosigner on this account and that I need to pay up, as I am ruining my credit. (As a result of my mother's actions, my credit score has gone from 721 to 598 in a matter of 90 days.)
I told him that I am currently pursuing legal action in order to remove my name from this account and that any further communication would have to be done through my lawyer. I was then given an attitude, and rudely asked for my lawyer's name and number, which I gladly supplied.
After reading all these posts, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that has had to deal with these guys in this matter.
I am concerned about them contacting my employer...should I advise HR to not speak to them and remind them that they need to go through my lawyer?
corp. recievable
these people are nuts, some guy named eric told me to borrow the money and stop making excuses. he would not accept a 50.00 payment.and i needed to put a large downpayment w/monthly payments i couldn't afford.just trying to make you feel like ##$% contact the original creditor if poss. to make arrangements
Guess who
Derrick Miller...Who is he? He is calling my wife at work, making her cry and pissing ME off! What is his REAL name? I'll get his info and harrass him at home! I don't mind working with a company, but these guys are ridiculous! By the way this crew works, contacting the owner will get you NOWHERE! I suggest certified letters to stop contacting you, but make sure you get a receipt when it has beed delivered. Wait for them to call back and get your own law suit in motion....That's MY plan. I think these guys are so arrougant, they will call back regardless. Too bad for them. Why don't we all band together and put these jerks out of business. Scare tactics don't work for me.
Corporate receivable agent
Spoke with Carl Wolfe today. He was real rude and threating me. This company is really nasty. There number is 800-643-2376. He is a real nasty person. Told him I had an attorney and did not beleive me. The even threaten me. Will be filling report with FFC.
Ticker you are a user and hold no legal responsibility for this
Ticker you are a user and hold no legal responsibility for this account.Send them a certified letter return receipt demanding validation of the account. The third link of my signature is a good one to use.My sig is at bottom of my post.Get that in the mail and write Hsbc a letter demanding to either be removed from the account or show proof that it is yours legally to pay.Send that one also certified return receipt mail.
To the other guests posting of the abusive tactics of this company, send them either a debt validation letter or a cease & desist demand to protect your rights under federal law.Send certified return receipt mail.If they continue after receiving this, contact naca.net for lawyer referral and sue them.
Mary Shaw
I've had the same problems with Corporate Receivables. "Mary Shaw" called me at work one day and I immediately told her to call the home number. She kept talking and called me several more times at work. Since then I have done research into fair collection acts and found that by calling me at work, knowing I was not permitted to talk to her, was against the law. Has anyone persued Corporate Receivables for breaking the law? I am trying to calculate my next step. Thanks for the help.
corporate recivables
im no longer a employee of c.r.i. and have been for 28 months. please do not continue to discuss me in youre messages. i would appreciate that thank you

Corporate Receivables
Just received a letter from this Corp. Receivables about owing money from an account that I had paid in full back in Oct. of 2006.
In the letter it instructs that if I choose to settle this debt by credit card to call a 800# and explains that it is a Western Union and that they will ask me for a city code and to use the code given in this letter??????
Isn't it Western Union that the scammers used in the Dr. Phil scam to get their money?????
What reputable collection agency uses Western Union to collect payment? Sounds fishy to me.
problem
My husband and I have been harassed by a man named Cal Brooks from Corporate Receivables. One of my husbands debts was sold to them and now they keep harrsaing us. We told him that we are financially unable to make the payment arrangements he said we have to do and we are going through a credit counseling agency. mr Brooks told us that it was a
"waste of our time as they don't work with credit counselors at all". Does anyone have any suggestions about what we can do now?
julesp
If it is Sergio Rodriguez, tell his crazy self that he is contacting your place of business and it is illegal for any collection agency to call you at work, that is harassment and it is against the law. Inform him that you have already filed a complaint with the BBB and speak to a lawyer about it. I know that on the back of the Collections paper they state that is illegal for them to call your job, but you have to make it clear that it is your job they are calling  .
question?
I do indeed owe money, I would like to pay it. BUT not to this collection agency. Can anyone tell me, Should I resume sending payments to my original creditor. I have received a letter from them informing me that they have "placed my account with Corp. Rec." Obviously I would pay them money in full if I had it (which they tell me is the only option), but make payments is all I can do and I cannot stand to speak with these people any more.
corporate receivables harassment
i have been contacted by kevin nash, he is verr condesending,a nd makes me feel like i am a dead beat. i have run into some financial difficulty, and i would set up payment arrangements with him, so i paid him the first payment over the phone, then he called me at work when i did not call him back the next day, i told him i can't get phone calls at work, i will get in trouble, and he said he did not care he will call me wherever he can get a hold of me. i said you did not even try my other number which is my cell phone, he said he did not care. i st up a few more payments, and unfortunately i forgot about one and the autodraft was returned. well it was like i was the worst deadbeat on earth , he called me at work again, i told him i would have to call him back, he said sure you will i don't believe you. well i did he told me that i would have to western union the money the next day or he would start proceedings against me.i said why are you treating me like this i have tried to cooperate with you, and you don't even know my circumstances, he said i don't care!!! i said does it make you feel good to speak to women like this, he said yes it does, what a jerk. he said call me by 3pm , but i doubt you will! can i contact hsbc and try to make payments to them instead of dealing with these people?
getting ripped off
send them a cease and desist letter. it stops them in their tracks. We need not take this abuse
CEASE AND DESIST LETTER
Send the people a ""cease and desist"" letter. Don't wait any longer. This is all a credit counselor will do. Excercise your rights. If they call more than once a day it is harassment. They will back off. They do not like confrontation. Do not threaten them. Be cool and calm. Do not play your ace card on the phone. Make sure you send the letter registered mail, with a signiture otherwise it holds very little water or weight!!!!!!!
What should my next step be?
Hello,
I have been dealing with Abraham Smith and he is a disgusting human being if he can be considered human. I have a debt, and then only way I was able to make any headway on this matter was by talking to another person in HSBC that offered me advice on what to say to them. I knew right away that the way they are acting isn't right. I had to ask for a unit manager, and got a hold of Mr Nicolson who works with Abraham and isn't much better but I was able to get a little info about their Hardship program to see how I can make payments toward my debt because I can not settle. I almost want to have this sent to another debt agnecy just because I don't trust these people to clear anything up but instead to verbally abuse me and make my debt worse. I would like any advice anyone has to offer before I get involved with this company. I don't
trust anyone who talks to me the way Abraham does and then wants me to send them money. Somehow he has proved up front what kind of person he is and honest isn't it. I want to clear my debt but I don't want to be abused and ripped off. Email me please! :?

yeah man. i hear that. i called them up, tryingt o negotiate some kind of settlement for my sister, thinking she must have been some kind of emotional about it, but... man. I was cool as a cucumber and all he wanted to do was harass me, demand my name and adress, try to intimidate me, and then chide me for the waste of his 10 minutes that he spent lecturing me.
Im having her fax them 3rd party disclosure so I can go ahead and TRY to deal with these people. they annoy me, but at least they dont scare me.
I've been having similar problems as some of you with "Mitch You
I've been having similar problems as some of you with "Mitch Young". Is there anyway to get around him to speak with someone else? Also, he told me he would only accept payment in full but I sent him a check for less than the amount owed regardless and he called me back and said it would be accepted this once but next time it will be returned, do they really return money if you are trying to pay on your account? Also someone mentioned something about a Mr. Nicholson...does anyone know if he is in AZ or Tx?
My husband recived call from corporate recievables 602-749-1200
My husband recived call from corporate recievables 602-749-1200
On his cell phone , someone by name mary shaw said that my husband have $500+ amount that is do, after talking to this lady advised her that he never had best buy credit card, but lady kept saying that he did had one, and that he needs to pay it, he advised her that he have an attorney and that she needs to call him, lady said that she don't care if he have an attorney even gave her his information, said that she will come to his house and take computer that he bought, my husband sayd go head and try, because we paid cash for it, lady became very nasty, so my husband hang up the phone.
She called his cell phone few more times, but he did not answer.
My husband called me and asked to call this # and see what is going on.
I called corporate recievables, left message to call me bck.
No one called back.
I called again, got mary on the phone, advised her why i was calling, she sad that she refuse to speack with me and hang up, i called again, she told me that if i call this # again she will report harrasment, and hang up again, i could even say anything. I called again and asked to speack with superviser, she refused to transfer call to superviser, said never call again, i was trying to explain to her that it we have an attorney but she kept telling me that she don't care, and kept hang up on me, i called again and again, finaly i told her that if she hangs up the phone one more time i will sue company and that i will make sure that she loose her job, she than told me "oh, is that what it is, well then hold" i was on hold for about 10 minutes, then someone by the name john got on the phone, said that he is a superviser and that i need to stop calling. I advised him that i need to speack with someone about an account that we have there, he thn said that if account is not under my name he can't talk to me, i advised him that i am wife, and that my husband is right here with me and that he wll give him permition to talk to me, john said no, i advised him that since they don't want to resolve this issue over the phone, then i am requesting to cease all communications. I think that something needs to be done. I will go head and report them
I just got the phone with CR....
What a bunch of ****! I told them that i was planningto pay the money I owe in October and their response was "settle now....or else you are going to be put as refusal to pay...then he hung up on me"...then the Supervisor put me on hold and refused to tel me to whom I could complain.....after putting me on hold numerous times he told me I could look it up on the internet......

A way around it
Just wanted to let you guys know that I found out they won't refuse your payments. So if you can't pay in full send them a cease and desist letter, then just make a monthly payment of what you CAN AFFORD. They threatened to garnish my wages so I looked into a bit and found out that very seldom will collection agencies actually decline a payment, although they won't tell you that. And a judge will more than likely just throw out their case if they do try to take you to court and the judge sees you have at least been making an attempt(they have to take it to court in order to get approval to garnish your wages fyi). When sending payments though, make sure you have proof of it. What I have started doing is sending it so that it requires a signature and I get a copy back, also my bank account will show a copy of the check every time one is cashed. Now obviously, this only helps if the debt they have on you is valid...:)
soooo funny
These people have ba**s of steel....maybe we should all call them back and say we are collecting a debt, and when can they pay....our books are closing in an hour and if they pay by then it will save them 1300 bucks...LOL...what a bunch of crooks
its a scam
wow, this company has got some nerve, they wont send me a letter stating the account balance, or anything, i just got off the phone with a guy named JAMES WISE, he straight out told me, that the creditor was "a f&(*&ing idiot and cant believe that i got credit" haha. what a joke...
if you have any questions about this guy

I have had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with these people, John Fox and Kile Brooks. Mr Fox has no sense of business ethics at all ... called me a kindergardener when I finally lost my temper and yelled at him after requesting a supervisor 8 times. Told me I was hiding information from my wife (She was the one he was after) I told him she was at work and would not be home till 8... demanded her work number which I would not give as she cannot recieve calls at work ... told me I must be unemployed since I am the one home when he calls and she must have to work so late so I can be lazy and sit at home. I could go on and on about what these people did to me and my wife ... funny thing is our account with HSBC is current now ....
Anyways the reason i am writing now is I just spoke to HSBC after finding out that CRI did not own the debt. The Person I spoke with at HSBC advised me to Fax in a Cease and Desist request to them stating that I did not want to deal with CRI and detail why (ie all the abuse that I had to put up with. She then stated that they would close that account with CRI and it would be sent to a different dept. Hope this helps someone else. Also filing complaints with BBB, FTC, and AG.
STOP the ABUSE ... Stop CRI's Abusive Practices
ok here is the deal, yes i owe this company money, but like ever
ok here is the deal, yes i owe this company money, but like everyone else when i get the money i DO NOT want to pay CR anything. once they have the account can i go back to HSBC and pay them directly? its absurd to be talked to the way they talk to to you. i have never been talked to in that way, especially from someone who wants money from. doesnt make any sense to be mean then try and get money from that person.

I started getting calls from "Elva" at CR about a month & half ago. She called me at work twice after I told her I could not get personal phone calls. She called my home and spoke to one of my children telling him "your mom bought things at Best Buy and she didn't pay the bill, she owes us thousands of dollars." One time when she called, my son handed me the phone and accidently hung up. I called her back and she said "oh I thought you hung up on me". If I didn't want to talk to her why would I call her back. She is very rude and condesending. I actually cried after getting off the phone with her. She has threatened to garnish my wages, take me to court, etc. When I told her I was working with a credit counselor, she said, oh we don't talk to them. Somehow she even got my cell phone number, no idea how! I don't know how people like that sleep at night.
Get them this way!!!!
I have received multiple harassing phone calls from an Angela Galvin at this company and when I tried to explain that this account was not ours it was my father-in-laws she wouldn't even listen to what I had to say. My husband was named after his father with nothing to distinguish who was whom. So you can only imagine the problems we have. But I have decided to not have our credit ruined because of it. I contacted this company via this email address bruced(at)corporatereceivables.com telling him of what had been happening and I also told him if I didn't receive a call back from a some one in management in 48 hours that I would be contacting BBB, my state congressmen and Senators. I received a call within an hour and we are on our way to having this problem fixed. Give it a try and see what happens. If you don't get your problem solved then contact BBB at search.bbb.org/ and type in this information 500 S. bicentennial blvd mcallen TX 78501 and you will get all of the information on this company and then you can file a complaint. I hope this helps you.

I was harassed by Daryl Base...that's what he called himself. Finally, after I threatened him physically he told me to grow up. I told him to name ONE reason why I owed CORPORATE RECEIVABLES (of whom I had never heard) anything at all...he couldn't give me an answer, and finally he hung up, and that was the end of Daryl Base, Corporate Receivables....AND the debt! They are just gloating to keep us all in THEIR debt...WHO the fook are THEY????

[justify:c41fc515f4]Started receiving calls from these people about a month ago, I have a debt with HSBC for a Nautilus product and they are the collection party for that organization, not the owner's of the debt that I have ever been told. I've talked to one person, wasn't rude but didn't get much accomplished either. They call with unknown name listed on their identification on my call system and I am in the habit of never answering anybody who can't even let you know who they are, seems a little sneaky to me, but I've had no threats or anything like that yet. In fact, I'm calling them today to try and work out some type of payment plan; did one yesterday to General Revenue but they weren't willing to work a deal or even give me payment options my limited VA disability income would allow me to pay. Told them I would call back once I found out what this company expected from me in regards to payment. I was originally introduced to this company by a letter which I received dated December, 23rd 2007, so they've been waiting awhile to hear from me. Will let you know how that goes as well.

CR Drama
Wow, just read all these inputs. I got a call on my cell and at home from them just after the new year. They also called my husband's cell phone and when he called back they were nice to him but said they would accept nothing less than 1205 per month which is 5% of the amount we owe. Now, when I called them back, a guy named Bob was not so pleasant to me. We have a debt with HSBC that we've been making below minimum payments due to a change in financial situation. Apparently, HSBC sold our debt to them. This "Bob" guy was rude, condescending, yelled at me on the phone when he discovered I wasn't going to make a payment in full. He went so far as to tell me to find a family member or friend with better credit than ours and pay the loan. I must say I am shocked. We had a huge change of finances in the past 18 months and I am amazed how you become a "winning team, here you go..." to a "loser, lepar we want nothing to do with you" almost overnight. I did, however, call HSBC immediately after the first conversation with CRInc. HSBC transferred me to their "recovery" dept and I talked to Sol who informed me to call CR and ask for a supervisor. He also stated that I could continue to make payments to HSBC and they would charge interest or make arrangements with CR with no interest. I thanked him and called CR back. Got the same Bob guy, asked for a supervisor, got a little lip service and put on hold, talked to the supervisor who tried to get me to commit. I told him I spoke to HSBC and yada yada; he said they were wrong and I needed to pay them. I said I would continue to pay HSBC and he told me to "enjoy my credit" and hung up ! Wow is all I have to say. So, we just received a form letter from the company with legal jargon telling us that the account is in collection. Just wanted to let someone else know this is still going on .. amazing.
Oh, I did tell the supervisor, name escapes me, that if they wanted to sue me, fine, I have checks to prove I have been making payments since the account went into default of non-full payments. He didn't seem to care that I had records. Good luck, I'll keep you posted on the "drama of CR Inc."
Corporate Receivables, Inc
i keep getting phones calls from them and i called them back gave them my address, and asked for a bill in the mail and they just keep calling me. will they just send me a bill? or let me know why they are calling?
Corp. Recievables
This company was EXTREMELY rude. Yes, my acct is past due, but I CALLED IN to make pmt arrangements and the guy berated me! All or nothing. He wouldn't work with me at all. You'd think he would be grateful for one debtor to be WILLING TO PAY! I used to be a bill collector, but I never treated my debtors like that!
CRI
Hi, checking in again. I posted on Jan 9th. After reviewing all of my rights and sending a cease calls letter, I continue to get them. The letter was signed by a Joy Milstead from the office. I've ignored every call "Bob Jordan" has made to me but typed a log of his exact message. I had also spoke to HSBC, the company that enlisted CRI to get the debt. They won't accept payments but wont deny them if received, interest included of course. However, today, feeling like I could conquer the world, I called Mr. Jordan to inform him that they are to stop calling me. He, however, changed his tune, slightly. He wanted to set up a payment plan for 5 months at a time per the amount I originally stated and sent in writing. Unlike the amount he originally demanded. I asked him to send it to me in writing and I'd be glad to sign it. He said he is unable to do that but could today set up the plan with post-dated checks and they would send me statements 10 days prior to remind me that they were going to deposit the check. I informed him that I am not comfortable giving my checking account information out over the phone or to have floating on someone's desk. I would prefer to send them a money order. He said that doesn't show committment to the plan. Can anyone validate that? I have a name of an attorney in town that I am going to consult with to verify that this is my only option. There must be another form I can fill out that validates my intent to pay the amount they are agreeing to.
To Baby Girl
go ahead and set up your payment arrangements. he cant take more than 5 at a time bc the system only allows 5 checks at a time. He also wont take any monthly payment less than $100. He is gonna get you to send at least $250 (or it may be $300) this month bc they have a contest and the minimum is a set amount. dont waste your money with an attorney, just make the montly payments and it will all go towards your principal amount. do not miss any payments or he will try to get yoo to pay the full balance. if he upsets you ask him if he is rushing to hit the $6000 quota.
spanish collector
has anyone received calls from an elva at corp rec? my neighbor has gotten many calls from her and has been telling her many things that i am sure are illegal. elva talks to my neighbor is spanish and when she asked to speak to a supervisor elva told her there are no spanish speaking supervisors. any suggestions?

Wow! I'm from NE and have been harassed, insulted, interrupted, and even called names by "Kevin Nash" at this agency. The thing is, I do owe the money that he speaks of and I want to make payments. He said no payments can be accepted, that they need th $1000 + in-full, and he will not ever let me ask a question or even complete a sentence. He called me "a failure" and a "menace to society," and claimed I show a lack of intelligence.
I am a student of horticulture, an in-home caregiver, speak 3 languages, and am struggling to make ends meet. I am not good with money, but that doesn't make me stupid or a menace or a failure! I'm not hurting anyone but myself, and I don't deserve to be abused like this.
I've been trying to get to talk to another representative, have told Kevin Nash to stop calling me, especially at work, and he just keeps calling my work and leaving rude messages on my voice mail.
He refuses to send me ANYTHING AT ALL.
Help!!!!!!!!!!!
I too have the same problem with this company... the same man called my office on two different occasions, after I hung up on him the first time he called back immediatley... I asked him to not call my office and he proceeded to yell at me that if I payed my bills there wouldn't be this problem. This morning I contacted this company and the same man answered... He wouldn't verify anything and wouldn't let me get a word in, and basically called me scum for not paying my bills... THEN he hung up on me!!!!! I called right back and he hung up on me again!!!!!!!! I would like to get all of my debt settled but I can't even have a conversation with this guy... How can I pay the bill with out having to deal with this company?????? Please HELP...
cri
Talked to CRI, Bob Jordan, again. Tried to tell him that I am willing to send the monthly amount requested via cashiers check. He again tried to get me to give him my bank account to set up auto pay. When I told him that I am not required to give him my account information in order to agree to a payment plan he got pissed off and began "reminding me" that my loan is in default and I am not in a position to tell the bank what payment options I am going to give.
Seriously, he continues to remind me that I am in default and have no negotiation ability. If I want to set up hardship payments, he keeps inferring the only way to do this is by me giving him my bank account information so they can auto-bill. Does anyone see anything wrong with this? What is wrong with a cashiers check mailed monthly for the next 5 months? I don't trust this company with anything. Never mind the fact that if I send HSBC a check, they accept it, even though CRI has the account?
Does anyone know?
I know from past posting that ALL of the people who call from this company have aliases. Does anyone know Melissa White or who her supervisor is? My husband owes money for something he bought for our son. This dude threatened to have my husband arrested at work and reposses the item that was purchased with this unsecured account. They have called repeatedly at work and asked to speak to my husband's boss. He was physically unable to return one of their phone calls by the "allowed time frame" so I called as soon as I got the message and explained the situation to Ms. White who proceeded to tell me that since he did not return the call by the appointed time that meant "they" had their answer -- what does that even mean? He talked to someone earlier in the day and they are accussing him of not returning phone calls?
Is there someone who we can take these complaints to and stop these people? It is bad enough when you are in financial hardship without people like this treating you and all but calling you the scum of the earth.

These people will try to get you "revved-up". They can not arrest him at work. They can't even infer that because they are not lawyers. You can send them a cease/desist letter stating that your husband's job does not allow collection company calls. If the harrassment continues; you can report them. The best thing you can do is ask them to vailidate the debt and know your rights. They will stop at nothing! And do not give them your bank account information ....!
Pay your Debt
I have a solution for all of you....pay your bills. I have never received a debt collection call from any of these agencies. Can you guess why...I pay my bills! Do the same and you won't have to deal with the people you so cleverly refer to as idiots, morons etc... When you make these personal allegations of others do you not understand the irony of your accusations? But then again I suspect you wouldn't.

Thank you "pay your debit" for such insightful information. Many of us do pay our bills. You must have the luxury of not undergoing any financial hardships that find a collection notice in your mailbox. I should hope you never do because when it happens you think "this can't be real" and "how do I decide between housing, food and bills". So Bless You! May your life be fruitful and the next time you have an insightful opinion on paying bills, think of other circumstances .. Have a great day IDIOT !
