Payday loan Help?

Be very careful of Bass and Associates. They are recently doing many illegal things on people's accounts, like unauthorized debits, charging illegal fees etc. Get your debt validated by them to confirm about their collections. You must confirm that they have your file with correct info before sending money. Contact the pdl company and make payments directly without dealing with this CA. They are all crooks.

Absolutely do NOT pay by Moneygram. If you do, you may end up in a "your word against theirs" situation if they say they didn't get your payment. Demand a physical address to send a payment to, and send a money order or cashier's check.

Also, can you let us know what state you are in, and what payday lender you were dealing with before Bass & Associates got the account? From what I understand, they are a collection agency, not a lender.

Payday Loan was from E dollars direct!! I live in Michigan!! I do not want them to take me to court. I want to just pay them direct.

Call Edollars to make a payment arrangement. They cannot take you to the court as long as you are current.

Do NOT give this Bass and Associates your banking info/debit card info. And if you legally owe $250, send them a money order for $250, do NOT send them $630! They are going to threaten you with lies that you are going to be arrested and my latest threat which I think is hysterical is that they are sending 25 people to your house, and the one where they tell you to come to Florida to turn yourself in! LMAO!

Ok so....Contact EDollars Direct? Make an arrangement. Do they take payment arrangements? Also, I am not current.....I was suppose to make an extension paymetn last Friday the 12th. So...I would probably say I am not current. The lady I talked to Ean Schwartz said that my husband and I were scammed by an internet payday loan and that we committed Fraud. I tried to email Edollars Direct. It's been almost three weeks and no response. I will try to look for the number but if I need help maybe someone here can give me the number thanks to all that helps...

Hello again I just received another call from Bass & Ass. They are in Jacksonville, FL She keeps calling me, at work on my cell and I had her fax a debt valadation over to me and haven't received it yet. She still is being very strong and persistent with me. So I tell to stop calling me? Can someone please let me know what I should do first. Who to contact? What to do period. I am very scared.

Don't be scared, there is nothing this company can do to you. They are violating several laws and everything they say is just threats that will never be followed through with. Please listen to everybody's advice above, do not give this company your bank information. File a complaint with your attorney generals office and the Florida AG's office.

Just tell them you want to file a compaint against a collection agency that keeps threatening you. When I filed my complaint they just aked me all the questions and sent me papers in the mail I had to fill out and send back.

thesullfam, start recording the phone calls of Bass and Associates. Notify them about the recording because in FL, you need to have permission of both the parties. Tell them that you are filing a legal case against them and would be using this recording for legal use. All their fdcpa violations will be proven in the recording. Talk to them about validating the account. By laws, they must provide you this info and shouldn't use any threats.

Use this info to contact E dollars direct and work out your payment arrangements.

Phone number???

I looked up bass and associates on the bbb website and it said they have had 77 complaints since 2006. Thirty of these have been in the past year. They have not responded to 55 of these complaints. Kind of shows that they are doing something illegal doesn't it. If they have nothing to hide then they should at least respond to the complaints!!
