Re: PAYDAY LOAN
i am having terrible difficulties with these individuals at ellis, crosby and associates as well. our situations are somewhat similiar however i did not serve the military. by the way, thank you for serving. they are horrible, horrible people. i will help anyway i can. i have contacted the district attorneys office in maryland, the attorney generals office and the maryland division of financial regulation. they have some very interested and helpful information that will benefit us both.

Same thing happened to me
I received the same call yesterday from a Carl Robuck, who was talking really fast, told me that there were 2 counts of internet fraud against me and the I was going to jail. I work in the fire service and he told me that I wouldn't want something like this on my record. I played along with his game, but it sounded extremely shady. He tells me to hold on, and he will see what he can do. After a few minutes, he gets back on the phone and says that they will settle out of court for $905 from an original loan of $250! The next thing I needed to do was wire the money to him. I called Platinum B today, but got a voice message and left a message. I have no intention of paying them $905, but I will pay back the $250 and any interest that I owe. Nor will I wire the money. If they want the money, I will send it to them in a money order and have a paper trail. Glad to hear that I am not the only one that got this very disturbing and strange call.

Hello,
I have gotten a phone call from ellis crosby today demanding a huge amount of money. I won't explain much because my story is like so many others on this site but I wondered if anybody has the phone number for platinum b payday loan services. I want to call and deal with them directly and then go after Ellis Crosby. Also, does anyone know if Ellis Crosby is actually allowed to even still be conducting business. Thanks!

I want to thank Ben for that link. It really helped me out. I am the person who spoke to Carl Robuck above. He contacted me on Aug 2 with his demands, and then today asking if I had wired the money. I told him no and he gave me 3 hours to do it or he would download my information to the District Attorney's Office in my state. I then contacted Platinum B again stating that I would like to pay off the loan for the amount I owe, and left a message. I then called back Mr. Robuck and told him that his he was violating my fdcpa rights and that their ACA rights were suspended back on June 1st, 2005 for 90 days. I then told him that I was contacting the Attorney General in Florida about his threats. He suprisingly said that he never made any threats, (which is not true) and then said he was only an employee there and did not know that about the suspension. Then he tried to say that I was basically trying to get out of a debt wouldn't let me talk. He asked me who I spoke to at Platinum B and I told him not to worry about it. It was none of his concern. He then did what they all do and cut you off, said that he was going to document it as me "refusing to pay" and hung up the phone. It was quite a switch he made from threatening to take me to jail and then now documenting that I am refusing to pay; which is not true. I am actually trying to pay Platinum B back, but I will only deal with them.
Thanks everyone for your input. It really helped me a lot.

I strongly believe that if we are well informed and take responsibility in every sphere of our life, then we can't be misled in anyway. Be it Ellis or anyone else!!
By the way, thanks goes to this website greatly because it is the noble work of debt consolidation Care who has made us aware of every legal issue.
I was in some debt, was looking for one easy repayment, found this site, got registered free of cost, and then one skilled consultant acted as an angel in my life. He really pulled me out from where I would never have been able to recuperate. I am in the completion of my program and see my credit file nicely reshaped.
It is very hard to find a suitable company and when a company like this is able to ease my financial conditions, I really feel blessed.
Sincere thanks once again to Debt Consolidation Care.
