MTE Financial Debits

What should i do if i am having $80 and $90 being taken out of my account every paycheck from MTE Financial Debits?? I did get a payday loan from CashNETUSA but they actually have a website and i can track my loan there. What should i do about this MTE thing??

MTE Financial is Rio Resources.

Lots of people are coming up with similar queries. How much have you taken the loan from them? And how much is paid so far. Check with your state laws and know the legal charges the pdl is to charge legally. If you have paid in excess, you will be able to explain the situation to your bank. They will block them from doing further debits and dispute the excessive amount for a refund.

Ashley--

Are you sure CashnetUsa is the same as MTE Financial? CashnetUSA is licensed in most states and the only other name they go by that I'm aware of is "The Check Giant" or "The Giant Check." CashnetUSA follows the payday lending laws as far as how much interest they charge. I know for a fact they do here in Ohio.

I could be wrong, but I don't think they are the same.

I had a loan with tendollarday pdl and when they started debiting my account it was MTE financial. When I reviewed my contract online I noticed the company was also listed as MTE financial. Is there anyway for you to look at the contract online. If you can look for the the DBA name at the top. It should list the DBA names at the top. If MTE is not listed as a DBA for CashnetUSA and you have no other pdl's, I would contact the bank for more follow up information.

Hi Allene,

MTE is Rio Resources and they do use other names as well. You can do a search on the forums to find other their other names. The list is pretty long. A lot of us here have had problems with them. Here is their contact information. Some of the names they go by is One Click Cash, US Fast Cash? Do you have any internet payday loans out?

I am getting really nervous. I borrowed 300 dollars from them and I told them a date to debit my account but I now need to pay it back in payments which they said I could do if I contaced them withing 3 days of the due date. How the heck do I contact these people or with all the bad things I have read about them should I contact my bank and stop payment to them. I can not afford for them to rip me off and well as i am sure no one else can either. Please tell me how to contact these people. They called me at work and said they would email the info to me. And never did. Please someone tell me how to contact these people. Thank you

Generally if you have not spoken to some one to make arrangements theywill debit your account. You could put a stop payment but sometimes they will issue anothr debit in anothr amount. Best to explain to the bank and have them block the debit from them. I have 2 numbers for them:
866-873-0386
800-354-0602
You definitely need to make arrangements to pay what you have borrowed but follow your state laws and don't overpay them.

By my last count, MTE FINANCIAL uses 17 d/b/a's. I have 8 different addresses for them under the d/b/a's. They are amazing. You can't just block MTE FINANCIAL or just the pdl name. They will use one of their other MANY names to debit your account. If you want to prevent these people from debiting your account further, close out your account and open a new one at a completely different bank. If you can't do that, put a HARD DEBIT BLOCK on your account. These guys are ruthless. I'm fighting with them one 3 pdl's under 3 different names; however, all are MTE FINANCIAL.

Did you get a loan from MTE? What state do you live in? How much did you borrow and how much have you paid back? Cashnet is licensed in all the states it does business with so they do not charge illegal interest. You will need to take care of them first. I don't know that it is necessary to call a lawyer. Let us know where you live, how much you borrowed and have paid back so far and we will try to help.

I also took out a paday loan with Rio. I tried all of the #'s on here and none of them are RIO. In fact the lady on the other end told me she gets many calls for them. Im very worried and am working with my bank to stop theyre debiting my account. I still may owe them money but untill they contact me Im not paying them a dime, especially whne tyhe 4 90$ debits are way more then the 200$ I borrowed

1. This is a debt forum where we all talk about how to get out of debt. Share our experience and help each other get out of the payday loan problem. 2. If you are being debited by MTE: they have many different ipdls under their umbrella. PLease list what payday loans you have, how much you borrowed and how much you have paid. Also what stste you live in. Then we can help you make a decision on what to do.

Oh, terrance. I wish it wasn't an MTE Financial pdl. They use sooo many different d/b/a's. Without having any documentation, we won't know which d/b/a they're using. Do you or your wife have any documentation? The loan agreement? Anything? If not, you can always try to email them and ask about the status of your loan. If you want to do that, send an email to: compliancedepartment(at)mtefs.com

alisa, is this the only name on your debits? You took one pdl out & this is the only one debiting your account right? If that is the case, PayDay USA is obviously another d/b/a of MTE Financial. I have a huge list going of MTE's d/b/a's. However, I don't have this one listed. But it doesn't surprise me. They have many, many d/b/a's. Tell me if this is the only "company" debiting your account. Because, if it is, then it's MTE. And, in that case, they are totally 100% illegal. They are not licensed/legal in any state in the United States. How much did you borrow from them (principle only) and how much have they debited total so far? Also, just for my information, tell me what state you reside in. These guys are ruthless. You are more than likely going to have to close your bank account. Please post the information I requested and we can better help you. I'm thinking it's our dreaded illegal MTE Financial using another d/b/a.

My husband and I did a PDL and now on our bank statement we are getting withdrawals from our account. The problem is we are ready to pay them off and they never sent him anything via e-mail like they said they would. I need to find out how to get in contact with them. The numbers that have been posted did not work. I am very stressed about this and need to know if my husband and I should speak with the bank and just pay to have anything from them stopped.

Any advice would be appreciated. I am soo sorry for all those going through this. Had I known this was what we were getting ourselves into I would never have done this.

Here is the contact info for MTE

MTE Financial Services

email: compliancedepartment(at)mtefs.com

Don't be scared, they are operating illegally, send them a letter revoking their authorization to debit your account and revoking any wage assignments you may have signed. What was the original amount of the loan and what have you paid already? You should think about closing your bank account also, so they are unable to keep debiting your account.

This includes their telephone number. The above is a good email address. Beware of them. Horrible illegal pdl. If you're up for talking to them, call them and tell them you want to pay (they just want your money). If you're not up for calling, send them an email. But if you're ready to pay them, I'd call. They'll love you. Beware of them though. Do not let them tell you that you owe more than you do. Which is what they normally do. Please let us know how it turns out!

I just called this # this afternoon 800-325-8208; {Renee @ ext. 4312 and she was } Renee was unwilling to work out pymt arrangements for future dates. She insisted on getting $90 today. she did that old 'script' of not letting me finish my statment or question & resorted to bullying tactics without provocation. I CALLED HER to make arrangments so i didn't understand the attitude...but anywhoooo...so now i'm wondering if their hook up is legit.

After telling me what d/b/a they are using, tell me how much you have borrowed from them and how much you have paid back (if anything). I also need to know what state you reside in. monica, did they hit your account? quickest-cash-advance is MTE. I have dealt with them. You borrowed $300, so I'm going to assume they want $90.00. Am I correct? Did they debit your account for $90.00?

Well my husband really got worried about what every one said in this web so he went today and he closed the bank account. I really don't know if it was the best idea but what my husband said is that he'll wait for them to call us and then he'll paid the amount in full, you tell me did he did wrong?

No, I'm not telling you that. I'm glad you and your husband were reading on here. Just make sure (ask him if you have to) that when your husband closed the bank account, the bank account will not be "forced" back open because these idiots tried to debit your account, okay? So you need to check on this to make sure the account is still closed and nothing "forced" it open. In the meantime, if your husband is just waiting for them to contact you, they are going to add unbelievable amounts of money in fees and stuff (which are illegal). So when and if they do contact you, they're going to ask for a whole lot more money than the $300. A lot more. If you "ignore" them, they might turn you over to collections (which would also be illegal). Now, this is not a legal company you're dealing with. However, they will do all these things. Can you do this? Can either you or your husband go on line and file complaints against this company? You can file with the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org). This illegal company will usually respond to the BBB. You can file with the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov). And you can file with your state Attorney General. Just do a google search on California state attorney general and the site should come up. You need to file complaints on this company. This way the agencies will know what's going on and also may be able to help you out. You let me know about the bank account (make sure it is still closed and MTE did not get their money). And see about filing complaints on MTE. Okay? If you need one, I can get a letter to you to send to MTE telling them to not debit your account, not call you, etc. However, they do not abide by it. It's mainly just for your documenation to show that you told them not to debit your account, not to contact you via telephone, etc. Like I said, they are ilegal, so they do what they want anyway. Please post back if you have any questions. But find out about the bank account and let me know. I just want to be sure your account is still closed and MTE didn't force it open? Okay? And if you need help filing complaints, just post. :D
