Arrowhead investment payday loans is threatening me.

arrowhead investments payday loans is treating me with court and jail time and left message's saying i was going to pay!!!!!! and the original loan amount was 230.00 and its not on my statement at all and now they want a total of 700.00 by Tuesday the 31st of oct. or arrowhead investment says they are going to pursue legal action i live in NC and have no clue as to the laws there and i am in bankruptcy because of mounted medical bills and my attorney says just don't worry about it its a scam they cant do that so who do i trust i do not want my kids to see me go to jail or my name ruined no more than it already is I'm sick and can not take this stress someone please tell me what to do???????????? help me please...thank you.

Below is the official contact of NC attorney general. Call the AG and put your complaint against Arrowhead Investments. I think they are not licensed in your state because payday loans are prohibited in your state. No internet loan company can lend money to the borrowers.

North Carolina Attorney General
Address: NC Attorney General's Office 9001 Mail Service Center Raleigh, NC 27699-9001
Phone: (919) 716-6400

Don't get scared by the threats of Arrowhead Investments. They cannot send you to jail because they have violated the laws first by not being licensed. So, you should report them to your AG.

I have not heard of this collection agency myself. I would beware because they must send some kind of proof that the debt is actually yours. If you have their physical address, I would send them a validation request via certified mail with return receipt requested. You can also ask that they no longer call you at work or home. You may also want to check the FTC website to see if there is more information about them on there or with the BBB.

Petit,

As stated in other posts, internet lenders are not allowed to do business in North Carolina. I would file a complaing with your AG's office and your Division of Financial Institutions as soon as possible. Also keep all phone messages, letters, and e-mails from this company or their collection agency as proof. I cannot stress enough to keep all correspondence documented as this will only help you in the future. They cannot throw you in jail, this is only a threat. Hang in there :-)

I am in NJ and having the same problem wih them. I have been trying to locate the company to make payment arrangements to pay the loan back and couldn't find there number anywhere. I just had some woman SCREAMING at me telling me that I am going to jail, etc. I told them that I don't understand what this is, etc. The woman got so upset because I didn't understand her and asked to speak to someone else. She told me that she'll work with me, etc. She got upset because I didn't want to give her my husband's job number. She put me on hold and some "supervisor" came on the line screaming even lowder than her telling me that if I didn't give him all or half of the money i am going to jail. What do I do now?

I also live in NC, and had a loan with them. They said that they couldn't debit my acct and I don't even show where they tried to. They also send my loan to Bass & Associates, where I ended up paying them $820.00 for a $300.00 loan, that was ILLEGAL in the first place. Watch out for these jokers..

Hi, I got approved for a loan with them over the phone and then they send me an e-mail saying that my "loan was denied". I wish that they would make up their mind and tell you from the very beginning. They can't even call you back and tell you to your face! I am telling all my friends not to even contact them for a loan approval and I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau also! They are nothing but a scam company and I want everyone to know that!

Your rights on dealing with the debt collectors are defined in the FTC website under the fdcpa laws. Go through this link below and stand as an informed consumer.

http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.htm

Who is the collection company calling you? Do a search on them in the collection agency forum and read their posts. It might help you in knowing more about the company and how you need to prepare yourself.

This is the same company as Bass and Associates. YOu will not be jailed and they cannot threaten to do so. COntact the FL AG and file a complaint. Again, it is illegal for them to threaten you with jail. And the only federal offense commited here is them telling you that!

Arrowhead Investment prides itself on hiding from its clients and raping them each month. If you are desperate for cash, do anything you can (odd jobs, etc) but do NOT take out any Pay Day Loans. These companies only exploit, threaten, and get rich on those of us who make the mistake on taking out one of their loans. If anyone has any info on Arrowhead Investment, please E-Mail me at email address removed as per forum rules - Mike

Having a problem with this so called law firm bass $ associates. They have called me re; 4 outstanding payday loans. Back in dec, i ended up paying them $526 for a $200 payday loan, and again another in january for the same amount. I sent them money thru moneygram. Last month, i had collection agency calling me and asking me to pay off the payday loans which i had paid thru bass & associates. I still have my receipts. Last month i borrowed another laon and thru unfortunate incidents of my job decreasing hours, i had less hours so i was unable to pay them back at that time. As of this morning, i have bass & associates calling me and telling them i am a mulitple violator of the internet borrowing money form a national bank. I am suppose to pay them over $1200 by 5 pm or i'll be sent to jail and charge with fraud and others. I called the payday loans i have an account with and they said they haven't refer them to a collection agency. I question b&a about who the lenders are and would not say. Are these people real frauds or what. I am willing to pay the lenders back but not sure. I live in phoenix, az. Is thereout there that can help me?
C williams

Funny . . . when I skip trace them everyone from the President of the company on down seems to work at an address in Kansas City, MO. The Utah address is for a virtual office company that just forwards mail (which it sorts by suit number) to its clients.

But they wouldn't be hiding now would they?

Arrowhead Investment phone number is 866-355-7308. If the company does not hear from you about your account say if it is frozen or closing or having problems and your bank rejects your payment the company doesn't collect the debt. Arrowhead SELLS the debt to a different company named Icollect if you have problems with collections call them at 866-856-1024, but if you don't leave all the reqested information then they will not return the call.

Has anyone not replied back to thwm or faces a hard penalty. I asked them for the documents and they said that they cant supply me that information.

I originally had a loan with Arrowhead awhile back and luckily I was able to pay it back very quickly. I thought they were okay. So I went to get another loan with them and I was told that they now have a company called VC Funding. I took out a loan with them and so far no issues. BUt I am about to close my checking account and default on all my payday loans so I can have some money for myself to pay my necessary bills ( I have already paid most of these loans off just in renewal fees) so I am not sure how their collections will go. Will they use Bass and Associates??

What you can do is stay strong. If you legitamately own this debt, make it clear to the collector that you are interested and motivated to find an acceptable payment plan for both sides.
What you do not have to put up with in the privacy of your own home is the following: abuse, threats and being yelled at. If the collector starts this behavior, do not give up control of the call to them. Stay calm and tell them firmly that you will not tolerate this and will have to end the call if it continues. If it does, HANG UP and document the incident.
