I just got a call from this number and my wife was asked what kind of internet we have. After telling them, they said they are from Earthlink and if we are ever unsatisfied with our provider to keep them in mind and hung up. I called back and got a live person on the second ring that knew it was me and said they got my number because I was a previous Earthlink customer. That is not true, I have never had Earthlink . This guy didn't even give a pitch or official greeting, just said hello when he answered. I am going to try to hunt this down and see whats up. If anyone has any tips to track or report numbers let me know.

My questions are in reference to the number started in this thread, 877-213-9077. If you have a question about another number you should start a new thread or its otherwise know as thread hijacking. And if you look at your post I don't see how you can say I'm rude, I didn't call anyone names and followed proper thread guidelines.

So Susie jumped on this thread - no biggie. Happens all the time. There are worse things in the world than a thread that gets derailed. I believe your original question just dealt with trying to trace a number. Not really a life threatening thing, is it? Doesn't affect your bottom line, does it? No one is trying to rip you off or threaten jail. So don't worry about it.

ok here goes..and i know its not on the proper one but i gotta know...i had this loan i defaulted on which was Ten dollar payday ok...well the amount they loaned me was $200.00 so i call them up and they tell me my balance was $380.00 and i told her i already sent $360.00 monday quick collect/western union and then this collection agency calls me and tells me that i owe $505.00 to the law offices of norman caleena or however ya spell it...now then what do you think i should do please? finnish paying the rest up to $505.00 or just the other $20.00 that tendollarpayday told me i owed? thanks

What state are you from because there are many states that payday loans are illegal.

You need to send a debt verification letter to that attorney's office, also are they still putting their hands into your bank acct or did you close them?

Susie honey we need to talk, because I am here in TN and we are getting ready this coming year to shut this industry down in the great state of TN. Is this the only one you have out? Do you have the receipt from what you sent to them already? Do you have a copy of your original loan documents that they sent you? If so let me know because you can file a complaint with the AG office and I will give you that link plus the FTC, has anyone harassed or threatened you over the phone. nope i have 1 other one out and for the tendollarpayday loan yes i sent them 2 western union/quick collects..the first was for $260.00 and the second one $100.00 just within the last 2 weeks. and i am close to knoxville...but if its gonna be next yr before you take them down i'll have em paid off by then. all i need to know is since tendollarpayday told me today my balance was $380.00 and that 3rd party collection agency told me i owed $505.00 and i paid $360.00 already as of last friday do i go ahead and pay the remaining balance that the collection agency says i owe or not? and yes i have the origional documents..the loan was for only $200.00 but oh well here i am screwed lol
